Karen Diane King was born the daughter of Lewis Ethan Huffman and Alice Lorraine Trader Huffman on July 26, 1950, in Kansas City, Kansas, and departed this life on April 14, 2018, in Springfield, Missouri, at the age of 67 years.
She was united in marriage on December 26, 1967, at Edwardsville, Kansas, to Cleatus King, who preceded her in death on October 24, 2014.
She is survived by one son, Nathan King and wife, Leslie of Hardy, Arkansas; one daughter-in-law, Angelia King of Violet Hill, Arkansas; four grandchildren, Johnny Jones, Luke King, Elisabeth King, and Aaron King; one great grandchild, Johnny Jones, Jr.; two brothers, Larry Huffman and wife, Karen of Protem, Missouri, and Ronnie Huffman and wife, Carma of Springfield, Missouri; one sister, Sharon Barnes of Wideman, Arkansas; several nieces and nephews; other relatives; and many friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Lewis and Alice Huffman; her husband, Cleatus King; one son, David King; and one brother; Gary Huffman.
Diane was a dedicated homemaker and truly made her house a home for her family. She enjoyed interior decorating and decorated every room in her home for each season throughout the year. She also assisted in decorating for any special events at her church.
Diane enjoyed working in her yard, especially her flower garden.
She was a Christian lady and a faithful member of the Christian Tabernacle.
She was dearly loved by her family and will truly be missed by all who knew her.
Graveside services will be held Thursday, April 19, 2018, at 1:00 PM at Eagle’s Rest Cemetery near Hardy with Brother Jason Jackson officiating.
Interment will be in Eagle’s Rest Cemetery, with services under the direction of Carter Funeral Home, Inc. in Thayer.
