Graveside services for Richard McCameron, age 81, of Cumberland Gap, Tennessee, formerly of Thayer, Missouri, will be held on Saturday, January 19, 2019 at 2:00 PM at the McCameron Cemetery west of Thayer, Missouri.

Maureen Cover Calvin was born in Downey, California, the daughter of George Martin and Vida Abrahams Martin on February 3, 1934 and departed this life on January 14, 2019 in West Plains, Missouri, at the age of 84 years.
She is survived by one stepson, George Cover; two step-granddaughters, Amanda Doth and Aimee Walton; many cousins; countless friends in California and Missouri; many devoted employees at Cover Lumber Company; and her special dog, Sydney.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Dan Cover; her parents, George and Vida Martin; and one brother, George Martin.
Maureen grew up on a ranch in Ramona, California. While growing up, she learned of her love for animals. After a family vacation trip to her Dad’s family home in Thayer, Missouri, they decided to move to Missouri.
She graduated from Thayer High School where she was a majorette. After graduation, she returned to California where she worked for Catalina Swimsuit Company, working in the design department as well as modeling. She also worked for a dermatologist in Hollywood/Beverly Hills meeting many celebrities.
She returned to Thayer to care for her widowed father with the hopes of returning with him to California. Meanwhile, she met Dan Cover. They shared a common interest in the environment and decided to marry. They donated several farms to the Conservation Department.
Maureen loved and was devoted to her family, friends and employees. She will truly be missed by all that knew her.
Funeral Services will be held on Thursday, January 17, 2019 at 2:00 PM at the Carter Funeral Home Chapel in Thayer, Missouri.

Mary Frances Combs Hall was born in Couch, Missouri, the daughter of Edd Rogers and Stella Johnston Rogers on July 31, 1930 and departed this life on January 13, 2019 in Alton, Missouri, at the age of 88 years.
She was united in marriage to Ralph Combs on October 21, 1947 in Couch Missouri. He preceded her in death on April 10, 1987. She was united in marriage to Leo Hall on August 24, 1991 in Thayer, Missouri. He preceded her in death on November 8, 2013.
She is survived by several very special nieces and nephews; one brother-in-law, Don Combs and wife, Gaye, of West Plains, Missouri; one sister-in-law, Virginia Combs of Summersville, Missouri; two special friends, Neta Clinton Frase and Lucrecia DuBois; and countless friends.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Ralph Combs; her husband, Leo Hall; her parents, Edd and Stella Rogers; five brothers; and three sisters.
Mary was a member of the Myrtle Freewill Baptist Church and faithfully attended when her health permitted. She was also a former member of the Garfield Freewill Baptist Church for many devoted years.
Mary and Ralph enjoyed spending summer vacations together. Sometimes it was just the two of them, other times it was with their family members.
After her marriage to Leo, she enjoyed being a farm wife, working with Leo to improve their farm at Myrtle and raising beef cattle.
She truly loved her time spent outdoors in her yard, tending to her flowerbeds. She loved all different types of flowers and shrubs and could tell you the name of every one.
Mary always enjoyed time spent with her nieces, especially the slumber parties. This made for long lasting memories for all.
Mary will be remembered as a devoted wife, a loving and caring aunt, and a friend to all. She will truly be missed by all that knew her.

Carroll Gene Garrison, 78, of Myrtle, Missouri went on to be with the Lord on January 1, 2019 while surrounded by his family at his home in Myrtle. He was born on January 7, 1940 to Herman and Lucille Garrison. He married Emma Mays on May 9, 1959 and she survives.
Also surviving are his children, Sheila and husband, David Miller, of Koshkonong, Missouri; Tim Garrison and wife, Sarah, of Myrtle, Missouri; Phillip Garrison and wife, Angie, of Myrtle, Missouri; Phyllis and husband, David Fry, of Mountain Home, Arkansas; Lynn and husband, Dan Lawrence, of Nixa, Missouri; Gail Burr of Thayer, Missouri; Shirley and husband, Ron Brown, of Choctaw, Oklahoma; and Jimmy Cox and wife, Kim, of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. Also, eleven grandchildren, Anita (Brian) Sturgeon of West Plains, Missouri, Monica (Mike) Van Gent of Okinawa, Japan, Ashley (Anthony) Garrison of Paragould, Arkansas, Stephanie Tarlton (Michael) of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, Kassi Burr of Thayer, Missouri, Joshua Miller of Springfield, Missouri, Andrew Garrison of Myrtle, Missouri, Robert Cox of Denver, Colorado, Jonathan Cox of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, Anna Garrison of Myrtle, Missouri, and Jessica Brown of Choctaw, Oklahoma; and thirteen great-grandchildren, Callie, Jobe, Emmy, Paisley, Lainey, Colby, Kailee, Kale, Danny, Noah, Matthew, Bella and Gabriel. Carroll’s surviving siblings include, Tom Garrison and wife, Jessie Mae, of Myrtle, Missouri, David Garrison and wife, Brenda, of Myrtle, Missouri, Steve Garrison and wife, Rochelle, of Sturkie, Arkansas, and Kathy Huddleston and husband, Roger, of Alton, Missouri; and one sister-in-law, Betty Garrison of Thayer, Missouri.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Herman and Lucille Garrison; one brother, Bill Garrison; and one grandson, Danny Lawrence.
He was a life-long Christian and attended Byrd Church for over fifty years, where he served as a deacon of the church. He worked as a cattle farmer for forty years for Loewer Oak Farms. He enjoyed serving his community and was Fire Chief at the Myrtle Fire Department for over thirty years. He was very unselfish and was always ready to help anyone in need.
He was a truthful and wise man. His family will never forget his teachings. His most monumental quote to the family was, “Love God with all your heart and your neighbor as yourself.” Luke 10:27

Richard LeRoy Goans was born in Willow Springs, Missouri, the son of Paul F. Goans and Mary Jane Ryan Goans on January 4, 1940, and departed this life on December 29, 2018 at Mercy Hospital in Springfield, Missouri, at the age of 78 years.
He was united in marriage to Ruth Wrenfrow on May 22, 1965 in Mammoth Spring, Arkansas.
He is survived by his wife, Ruth Goans of the home, in Mammoth Spring, Arkansas; three children, Rick Goans of Mammoth Spring, Arkansas, Edward Goans and wife, Beverly, of Mammoth Spring, Arkansas, and Andrew Goans of Springfield, Missouri; three grandchildren, Whitney Vogler and husband, Levi, of Thayer, Missouri, and Tyler and Cortney Goans of Mammoth Spring, Arkansas; one sister, Nellie Blackburn of Broken Arrow, Oklahoma; one special niece, Mary Lynn and husband, Chuck, of Broken Arrow, Oklahoma; other relatives; and countless friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Paul and Mary Goans; and two brothers, William and John Mullin.
Richard was an Airman of the United States Airforce, serving his country proudly for several years.
He worked for the Mammoth Spring State Park for many dedicated years. He also worked at RAM auto parts.
Richard enjoyed looking at antique cars. He also loved listening to bluegrass music and playing along on his guitar. His most favorite thing to do was spending time with his three grandchildren.
Richard was a loving and devoted husband, father, brother, grandfather and friend. He will truly be missed by all that knew him.

Ronald Wayne Sanders was born in McKinney, Texas, the son of Asa Paxton Sanders and Laura Redden Sanders on January 21, 1935, and departed this life on December 22, 2018 at Ozarks Medical Center in West Plains, Missouri, at the age of 83 years.
He was united in marriage to Martha Anna White on June 27, 1957 in Houston, Texas. She preceded him in death on December 4, 2000.
He is survived by his friend and companion, Don McCaslin of the home, in Koshkonong, Missouri; his daughter, Vivian Jones and husband, Joe, of Shawnee, Kansas; one brother, Asa Sanders, Jr. and wife, Neva, of Houston, Texas; one sister, Loretta Sanders of Willis, Texas; two grandchildren, Dean Jones and wife, Andrea, and Dave Jones, both of Shawnee, Kansas; two great grandsons, Greyson and Sawyer; many nieces and nephews; other relatives; and countless friends.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Martha Sanders; parents, Asa and Laura Sanders; one sister, Janice Sanders; two brothers, Darwin and Marshall Sanders; grandparents and many other family members.
Ronald had a talent for upholstery. He loved making old furniture look like new. He even owned and operated his own upholstery store for many dedicated years.
He also loved spending his time outdoors, tending to his flowers and growing his own vegetables.
Ronald was a loving companion, father, brother, grandfather and friend. He will truly be missed by all that knew him.

Randall Bruce McPherson (Randy) was born November 13, 1954 in Marietta, Georgia to James Richard (JR) McPherson and Shirley Jean McPherson. He passed peacefully December 19, 2018.
His family moved frequently before settling in Thayer, Missouri in 1963. In 1975, he joined the United States Air Force. While stationed at McClellan Air Force Base in Sacramento, California, he met his life long love, Catharine Parker Verhines. They were married in 1978. He spent a year stationed at Osan Air Force Base in Korea, then was stationed at Nellis Air Force Base in Las Vegas, Nevada. While living in Las Vegas, he had two children. After the service, he operated a drywall business in Las Vegas and was an over the road truck driver for a short period of time. In 1987, he moved to Northern California and worked for Parker Diving Service as a salvage scuba diver. In 1990, he moved his family back to Thayer, Missouri. He established McPherson Welding in 1992, which he operated until December 2013. He was diagnosed with ALS in May of 2014. He faced the disease with the same practical and realistic attitude that he applied to his life and work.
He loved his family, golfing, scuba diving, snow and water skiing, riding his motorcycle and traveling. He toured Colorado on a motorcycle in 2013. In 2015, it was a round trip road trip to Vancouver British Columbia, a cruise to Alaska and Mount Denali, visiting many national parks along the way.
He is survived by his wife of forty years, Catharine; two children: Trisha Fowler and husband, Tim, of Maize, Kansas, and Travis McPherson of Lawton, Oklahoma; three grandsons who adored their Grumpy Grampy, Dominic McPherson, Dylan Fowler and Nash Fowler; two brothers, Rodger McPherson and wife, Dawn, of Thayer, Missouri and Kevin McPherson of Paragould, Arkansas; his close friends, Paula and Bob Richardson and Delores Bennett; and a multitude of other relatives and friends, of whom many were very special to him. He was preceded in death by his parents James (JR) and Shirley McPherson.
A Celebration of Life will be held January 12, 2018 at 4:00pm at the Christian Activity Center in Thayer, Missouri.

Harry Threlkeld was born in Koshkonong, Missouri, the son of Henry Threlkeld and Clara Hampton Threlkeld on October 29, 1948, and departed this life on December 9, 2018 in Houston, Texas, at the age of 70 years.
He was united in marriage to Helga Zubke on December 26, 1972. She preceded him in death on February 16, 2018 after forty-six years of marriage.
He is survived by his daughter, Candis Threlkeld of Muncy, Pennsylvania; one brother, William Threlkeld of Koshkonong, Missouri; one grandson, William Bradshaw; many nieces and nephews; other relatives; and countless friends.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Helga Threlkeld; his parents, Henry and Clara Threlkeld; his sister, Shirley Roberts; two brothers, James and Robert Threlkeld; and one infant sister.
Harry served his country in the U.S. Air Force from May 6, 1969 through April 29, 1975 and lived in twenty-four different locations with Helga. In 1976, he joined the Army Corps of Engineers and that work took him to Whitney, Texas in 1984. After his retirement from the Corps of Engineers, he opened his own business known as H Electric.
He was very involved in the Whitney community, volunteering wherever he was needed. He was especially active with the WIDS, where he worked as a volunteer with the band boosters in the concession stand for many years.
Harry was deeply devoted to his family. He will truly be missed by his family and all that knew him.

Helen Joyce Brown was born in Portageville, Missouri, the daughter of Robert Arnold and Elizabeth Doster Arnold on February 23, 1938, and departed this life on December 16, 2018 in Thayer, Missouri, at the age of 80 years.
She was united in marriage to Bobby Bivins on October 16, 1954 in Caruthersville, Missouri. On August 24, 2009, she was united in marriage to Howard Brown in Miami, Oklahoma.
She is survived by her seven children, Judy Johnson and fiancée, Craig Washam, of Mammoth Spring, Arkansas, Shana Bivins of Thayer, Missouri, Teresa Burk and husband, Roy, of Thayer, Missouri, Pat Grimes of Thayer, Missouri, Timothy Bivins and wife, Thresa of Thayer, Missouri, Nathan Bivins of Thayer, Missouri, and John Bivins and wife, Donna, of Mammoth Spring, Arkansas; one sister, Mary Bivins and husband, Harold, of Wardell, Missouri; twenty-two grandchildren; six step grandchildren; twenty-five great grandchildren; one step great grandchild; and one great-great grandchild; many nieces and nephews; other relatives; and countless friends.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Howard Brown; her parents, Robert and Elizabeth Arnold; one son, Bobby Bivins, Jr.; two brothers, Billy Joe and Bobby Gene Arnold; and one grandchild, Philip Hahn.
Helen was a member of the Christian Tabernacle Church in Wirth, Arkansas.
She worked at St. John’s Hospital as a LPN, retiring after many years of dedicated service.
Helen was a diehard Oakland Raiders fan. She loved to brag whenever her team won.
Helen was deeply devoted to her family. She will truly be missed by her family and all that knew her.

Jessie Lenard Baldridge was born the son of George Baldridge and Orphie Jones Baldridge on September 13, 1936, in Sharp County, Arkansas and departed this life December 14, 2018, at his home in Mammoth Spring, Arkansas, at the age of 82 years.
He was united in marriage to Erma Lee Price on August 25, 1956, in Sharp County, Arkansas. They were married for sixty-two loving and devoted years.
He is survived by his wife, Erma Lee Baldridge, of the home in Mammoth Spring, Arkansas; three children, David Len Baldridge and Deb Childers of Mammoth Spring, Arkansas, Emma Sue Schuerenberg of Mammoth Spring, Arkansas and Sharon Kay Wrenfrow and husband, John, of Myrtle, Missouri; one brother, Omer Lee Baldridge of Wirth, Arkansas; eight grandchildren, Davina, Alan, Jesse, Donnetta, Jonathan, Jessica, Jennifer and Trey; nine great grandchildren; many nieces and nephews; other relatives; and countless friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, George and Orphie Baldridge; three brothers, Ermin, Willard, and Elvern Baldridge; three sisters, Roxie Houston, Rhoda Byers, and Nola Angotti; and one son-in-law, Herb Schuerenberg.
Lenard was a timber contractor for many years. As a young man he worked with his brothers locally buying tracts of timber and at one time operated a sawmill. He was skilled with his chainsaw and enjoyed working with the logging team. He and the gentleman who worked for him became lifelong friends. Later he worked with his son, David. Lenard worked hard and instilled a strong work ethic in his children. Through the years Lenard also operated a cattle farm.
After he retired from logging, Lenard and Erma bought a store in Hardy, Arkansas called Treasure Chest, which they were operating up to Lenard’s passing. At the store he sold cedar, walnut and many exotic woods, while Erma sold glass and antiques. He loved meeting and talking with the public as he sold his merchandise. His many customers became lifelong friends and enjoyed stopping just to visit with him.
He enjoyed woodworking and made cutting boards and birdhouses to sell at the store. He often made items as gifts, including wagon wheel picnic tables and custom mail boxes for his children. Lenard was a knowledgeable coin collector and enjoyed bargaining with customers.
Lenard was a Christian and attended the State Line Pentecostal Church. During his final illness, he was at peace with God and stated he was ready to go.
Lenard will be remembered for his kind and gentle spirit. He loved people, whether a stranger or an old friend. He was especially close to his mother, his brothers, his sisters and their children. He always attended family reunions and made sure the family cemetery was cared for.
He enjoyed traveling with his wife and children. They traveled at least once each year. Even in poor health he traveled with his wife and daughters to visit his son on the pipeline in West Virginia in September of 2018. In early years, the family drove West to Colorado, Wyoming and California. He also cruised with his family to Alaska and flew to Niagara Falls in Canada and visited New York City and the Statue of Liberty and Washington D.C. He was the happiest when he was with his family.
He was a devoted and loving husband for sixty-two years. He and Erma spent their lives working together as a team. She was the light of his life and always answered him to the name of “honey”. He was also a loving father and grandfather. He will truly be missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday, December 18, 2018 at 10:00 AM at Carter Funeral Home Chapel in Thayer with Brother Wayne Hurst and Brother Bobby Ryan officiating.
