Bobby Joe Roberts was born the son of Floyd E. and Sarah Ann (Roy) Roberts on November 15, 1938 in Alton, Missouri and departed this life March 5, 2013 in Springfield, Missouri at the age of 74 years.

He is survived by four sons, Teddy Roberts and wife, Denise; Jason Roberts and wife, Mary Ann; Tony Roberts and wife, Lesa; and Bobby Roberts and wife, Jessica; one daughter, Vonda Miller and husband, Mark; sixteen grandchildren, Jenna, Kelsie, Corey, Randall, Lauren, Jordan, Hannah, Jake, Luke, Richie, Shelbie, Delanie, Cassie, Corey, Carter, and Camden; four great grandchildren, Braiden, Eli, Noah, and Allie; one brother, Donald Lee Roberts and wife, Betty; and many other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Floyd and Sarah Roberts and one brother, Ronnie Ray Roberts.

Bob was a truck driver and farmer for many years. He loved to hunt, fish, and garden, and enjoyed buying and selling produce. He loved his family and the time they spent together.

He was of the Baptist Faith, saved at the Riverton Church, and baptized at the First Baptist Church in Thayer, Missouri. He will be missed by all that knew him.

Funeral services will be Friday, March 8, 2013 at 10:00 AM in the Victory Free Will Baptist Church at Alton, Missouri with Jason Roberts officiating. The family will receive friends Thursday, March 7 from 6:00 to 8:00 PM at the Carter Funeral Home Chapel in Thayer. Burial will be in the Riverton Cemetery with services under the direction of Carter Funeral Home, Inc. in Thayer.

Laverne Arminta Wrenfrow was born the daughter of Earl Ivey and Esther Fay Earls Ivey on November 24, 1935 in Mammoth Spring, Arkansas and departed this life March 2, 2013 at her home near Mammoth Spring, Arkansas at the age of 77 years.

She was united in marriage on April 2, 1955 in Fulton County, Arkansas to Roy Wrenfrow.

She is survived by one son, Travis Wrenfrow and wife, Jackie of Thayer, Missouri; one daughter, Remona Combs of Mammoth Spring, Arkansas; five grandchildren, Travis Wrenfrow and wife, Jennifer of Thayer, Missouri, Brandi Sikora and husband, Jason of Odenton, Maryland, Courtney Ford and husband, Nicholas of Mammoth Spring, Arkansas, Megan Combs of Mammoth Spring, Arkansas and Jordan Combs of Mammoth Spring, Arkansas; two great grandchildren, Robert and Katelynn Wrenfrow of Thayer, Missouri; one brother, Eugene Ivey of Mammoth Spring, Arkansas; several nieces; nephews, other relatives and many friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Earl and Esther Ivey and one brother, Leroy Ivey.

Laverne was a faithful member of Union Hill Community Church. She was employed by Shady Oaks Health Care for many years, working as a housekeeper and laundry room supervisor.

Laverne had many hobbies which included, quilting, embroidery work, counted cross stitch and gardening. She will be remembered as an excellent cook, her deep devotion to her family and her great desire for all to be happy, content and always follow the Lord.

Funeral services will be at 10:00 AM, Tuesday, March 5, 2013 in the Carter Funeral Home Chapel at Thayer with Reverend Hank McElderry officiating.  Burial will be in the Field Creek Cemetery at Mammoth Spring, Arkansas.

    Woodrow Howard Campbell was born the son of Woodrow Hanford Campbell and Ina Evelyn Scott Campbell on July 19, 1941 in Randolph County, Arkansas and departed this life February 9, 2013 in Pocahontas, Arkansas at the age of 71 years.

    He was united in marriage on August 17, 1968 in Pocahontas, Arkansas , to Janis Noblin.

    He is survived by his wife, Janis of the home in Myrtle, Missouri; one son, Scott Campbell of Myrtle, Missouri; one granddaughter, Makyne Campbell; one brother, Richard Campbell and wife, Sharon of Thayer, Missouri; one sister, Phyllis Stayton and husband, Pete of Kimberling City, Missouri; one nephew; two neices; other relatives and many friends.

    He was preceded in death by his parents, Woodrow and Ina Campbell and one infant sister.

Howard was a Veteran of the United States Army. He was employed by McGhee Picture and Frame Company in Pocahontas, Arkansas in shipping and receiving, retiring after more than thirty years of service.

He was a faithful member of Myrtle Free Will Baptist Church. He enjoyed hunting and collecting cars and will be remembered as a devoted husband, father, grandfather and brother. He will truly be missed by his family and many friends.

    Graveside Services will be Monday, February 11, 2013 at 11:00 AM at the Myrtle Cemetery at Myrtle, Missouri with Brother Ralph Douglas Officiating and burial in the Myrtle Cemetery at Myrtle, Missouri, with services under the direction of Carter Funeral Home, Inc. in Thayer.

Lee Edward Brazeal was born the son of Jessie Porter Brazeal and Leatha Lee (Vaughn) Brazeal on April 21, 1924 in Thayer, Missouri, and departed this life January 31, 2013 at Shady Oaks Healthcare Center in Thayer, Missouri at the age of 88 years.

He was united in marriage on October 31, 1949 in West Plains, Missouri, to Virginia Lea Johnson.

He is survived by one son, Dennis Lee Brazeeal and wife, Dowlene of Thayer, Missouri; three daughters, Terrya Jean Brazeal of Koshkonong, Missouri, Patricia Ann Martin and husband, Steve of Koshkonong, Missouri, and Caleasa Mae Cauble and husband, Tom Lowe of Koshkonong; one son-in-law, David Briley; one daughter-in-law, Ruth Brazeal; fifteen grandchildren; twenty-six great grandchildren; one great great grandchild; one sister-in-law; many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Jessie and Leatha Brazeal; one son, Kenneth Edward Brazeal; one daughter, Jennifer Mahnon Briley; four brothers and three sisters.

Lee proudly served in the United States Army during World War II. He received the Army of Occupation Medal, Asiatic-Pacific Theater Ribbon with one Bronze Star, Victory Medal, Phillippine Liberation Ribbon with one Bronze Star, and a Good Conduct Medal.

He was a semi-truck owner/operator and loved working in his garden and playing on his tractor and bulldozer.

He was of the Pentecostal faith. He will be remembered as a loving father, grandfather, great grandfather and friend. He will truly be missed by all.

Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 PM, Monday, February 4, 2013 in the Carter Funeral Home Chapel in Thayer with Brother Abel Perez officiating.

The family will receive friends at the Funeral Home, Monday at 12:00 noon until the time of the service.

Merrill James Kuhlman was born the son of Alfred and Mary (Bonar) Kuhlman on June 20, 1941 in Soldier, Iowa, and departed this life January 30, 2013 at Shady Oaks Healthcare Center in Thayer, Missouri at the age of 71 years.

He is survived by his loving companion, Avalee Fanning of the home in Alton, Missouri; her children, Arvel Fanning, Kevin Fanning and wife, Jackie, and Becky Long; his children, Scott Kuhlman and wife, Nan, Jens Kuhlman, Jennifer Clark, and Peggy Tucholski and husband, Eric; many grandchildren and great grandchildren; one brother, Donald Kuhlman and wife, Wanda; three sisters, Vera Wilson, Ruth Siler, and Lois Surber; several nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Alfred and Mary Kuhlman; and six brothers, Leo, Leonard, Charles, Harold, Kenneth, and Gerald Kuhlman.

Merrill served his country in the United States Army.  He will be remembered as a loving companion, father, grandfather, and friend and will be truly missed by all.

Goldie Mae (Smith) Wood Johnson was born the daughter of Thomas and Edith (Geib) Smith on September 23, 1925 in Mammoth Spring, Arkansas and departed this life January 29, 2013 at Shady Oaks Healthcare Center in Thayer, Missouri at the age of 87 years.

She was united in marriage on May 28, 1945 at Mammoth Spring, Arkansas to Edward James Wood, who preceded her in death on March 18, 1998. She was united in marriage on October 18, 2005 at Yellville, Arkansas to Robert Johnson.

She is survived by her husband, Robert Johnson; two sons, Andrew D. Wood and wife, Janice, and Bobby D. Wood and wife, Wanda, both of Mammoth Spring, Arkansas; four grandchildren, Kelly D. Wood of Caledonia, Mississippi, Thomas E. Wood and wife, Kim of Mammoth Spring, Arkansas, Shannon D. Wood and wife, Jintala of Mammoth Spring, Arkansas, and Natalie T. Hamrick and husband, Billy of Douglasville, Georgia; six great grandchildren, Seth, Laney, Emily, Tristan, Addison, William; one sister, Lorene Rolen of Mammoth Spring, Arkansas.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Thomas and Edith Smith; first husband, Edward Wood; four sisters, Velma Myers, Lucille Price and two infant twins; and two brothers, Harvey Smith and Avery Smith.

Goldie was a homemaker and a member of the Church of Christ at Welcome Hill. Through the years, she worked at various facilities in Batesville, Arkansas where she and Edward resided for many years. She was a member of the VFW Ladies Auxiliary, a wonderful cook, and she enjoyed working in the yard which she kept very well.

She was a wonderful mother, and grandmother, was well loved by all who knew her and will be missed by all.

Funeral Services will be Sunday, February 3, 2013 at 2:00 PM in the Carter Funeral Home Chapel at Thayer, Missouri.

Florence Olive Wilkerson was born the daughter of Clark Edward Casey and Azalea (Baker) Casey on September 21, 1921 in Riverton, Missouri and departed this life January 29, 2013 in West Plains, Missouri at the age of 91 years.

She was united in marriage on October 18, 1941 at Alton, Missouri to George Phillip Wilkerson, who preceded her in death on February 13, 2010.

She is survived by one sister, Catherine Warren of West Plains, Missouri and one brother, John Lewis Casey and wife, Emma Lou, of Alton, Missouri; several nieces, nephews and many friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents; two sons, Noel Wilkerson and George Olen Wilkerson; three sisters, Blanch Crawford, Marie White, and Edna Edwards, and one brother, Clark Edward Casey, Jr.

Florence attended the one room elementary school at Riverton, Missouri with her siblings. She never attended high school, but passed the GED test to complete her education.

She became a housekeeper at the age of 16 for different families in the Riverton and Alton communities, earning 50 cents a day per household.

Florence was 18 years old when she and Phillip Wilkerson met for the first time at a local Pie Supper. After dating a few months, they married and lived and worked together on their livestock farm in the Myrtle area for many years. Their bond with each other became even stronger after the death of their son, Noel Casey Wilkerson on May 22, 1973 at the young age of 24.

She was a faithful and active member of the First Baptist Church in Myrtle, as long as health permitted.

Florence will be remembered as a dedicated homemaker, an excellent cook, and a well known and respected lady by her family, friends and the community in which he lived.

She will truly be missed by all who knew and loved her.

Funeral Services will be Saturday, February 2, 2013 at 2:00 PM in the Carter Funeral Home Chapel at Thayer, Missouri with Brother Edward Casey officiating.

Billy Marion Frealy was born the son of Eugene Stanley Frealy, Sr. and Maggie Fay (Tyner) Frealy on August 25, 1934 in Doniphan, Missouri, and departed this life January 29, 2013 at his home near Thayer, Missouri at the age of 78 years.

He was united in marriage on March 11, 1957 in Salem, Arkansas, to Joreta Ruth Romine.

He is survived by his wife, Joreta Ruth Frealy of the family home; four children, Lenora Adams and husband, Brian, of West Plains, Missouri, Billy (Wm.) Frealy and wife, Erin, of Thayer, Missouri, Monica Childers and husband, Daryl, of Thayer, Missouri, and Keith Frealy and wife, Natalie, of Koshkonong, Missouri; six grandchildren, Brian Adams, Jr. and wife, Ashly, Daryl Childers II and wife, Corrie, Derek Childers, Joshua Adams, Perry Frealy, and Wyatt Frealy; three great grandchildren, James, Autumn and Kylie; two brothers, Bob Frealy of Holton, Kansas and David Frealy and wife, Jackie of Thayer, Missouri; several nieces, nephews, cousins, friends, and his good dog, Sport.

He was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, Eugene Frealy, Jr. and James Austin Frealy; four sisters, Mary Lou Tourigny, Lona Fay Frealy, Alice Frealy, and Elizabeth Scharff, and one infant brother, Jackie Frealy.

Billy was a flight engineer, proudly serving his country in the United States Air Force. He enjoyed fishing and watching the deer playing in his front yard.

He was of the Catholic faith and a Mason. He will be remembered as a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother and friend. He will truly be missed by all.

The family will receive friends Thursday, January 31, 2013 from 6:00 to 8:00 PM at the funeral home.

Ronnie Ray Roberts, Sr. was born the son of Floyd E. and Sarah Ann (Roy) Roberts on August 25, 1947 in Doniphan, Missouri, and departed this life January 25, 2013 at his home near West Plains, Missouri at the age of 65 years.

He was united in marriage on October 27, 1967 in Koshkonong, Missouri, to Connie Poulette.

He is survived by his wife, Connie Roberts of the home; two sons, Ronnie Roberts, Jr. and wife, Ruby of Koshkonong, Missouri and Aaron Roberts and wife, Jackie of West Plains, Missouri; three grandchildren, Ronnie “Trey” Roberts, III, Sierra Roberts and Trevor Roberts, all of Koshkonong, Missouri; three special friends, Shannon Collins, Dustin Kupitz and Ridge Burke; two brothers, Donald Lee Roberts and wife, Betty of Maryland Heights, Missouri and Bobby Joe Roberts of West Plains, Missouri; two brothers-in-law, Herb Poulette and wife, Annette and Curtis Poulette and wife, Barbara; one sister-in-law, Brenda Smith and husband, Kenny; several nieces, nephews, cousins and many friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Floyd and Sarah Roberts; and his father-in-law and mother-in-law, Leon and Mae Poulette.

Ronnie served in the Army National Guard. He loved raising, riding and trading horses as well as working on saddle and tack repair. He was proud of his grandchildren and enjoyed going with them to rodeos.

He was of the Pentecostal faith, and will be remembered as a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother and friend. He will truly be missed by all.

Funeral Services for Mr. Roberts will be Monday, January 28, 2013 at 10:00 AM in the Carter Funeral Home Chapel at Thayer, Missouri.

The family will receive friends at the Funeral Home in Thayer, Sunday evening from 6:00 until 8:00 PM.

Burial will be in the Thayer Cemetery in Thayer, Missouri.

Hazel Edna (Brazeal) Ray was born the daughter of Leamon Franklin Brazeal and Jessie Elma (Phipps) Brazeal on July 27, 1923, in  Koshkonong, Missouri, and departed this life January 20, 2013, at Ozarks Medical Center in West Plains, Missouri, at the age of 89 years.

She was united in marriage November 29, 1941, in Kennett, Missouri, to James Edward Ray, Sr., who preceded her in death on July 4, 2006.

She is survived by one son, James Ray and wife, Ranette, of Lanton, Missouri; one daughter, Elma Wilson and husband, Robert, of Brandsville, Missouri; six grandchildren, Tammy Evetts and husband, Tony, Phyllis Cunningham and husband, Eric, Robby Wilson and wife, Jennifer, Tracy Wilson and wife, Squeekie, Amy Weisbrod and husband, Wyatt, and Kristy Ray; sixteen great-grandchildren; seventeen great-great grandchildren; two brothers, Harold Brazeal of Pineville, Missouri and George Brazeal of Pineville, Missouri; three sisters, Marie Howell of Koshkonong, Missouri, Laverne Smith of Pineville, Missouri and Ruby Cooley of Rogers, Arkansas; two sisters-in-law, Sylvia Brazeal and Mary McMemeny; a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Leamon and Jessie Brazeal; her husband, James Ray; one brother, Tracy Brazeal; two sisters, Jessie Mae Madden and Audrey Lucille Daniels and one great grandchild, Chase Weisbrod.

Hazel was employed by the Koshkonong School District, working as a cook in the cafeteria for several years.

She was a dedicated homemaker and enjoyed needlework, especially quilting, creating numerous heirlooms for her family.

Mrs. Ray was of the Baptist faith.  She will be remembered as a Christian lady with a kind heart, a loving spirit, and a deep devotion to her family.  She will truly be missed by her family and the community in which she lived.

Funeral services for Hazel Ray, age 89, of Brandsville, Missouri, will be Friday, January 25, 2013 at 2:00 PM in the Carter Funeral Home Chapel at Thayer with Reverend James Ray officiating.

The body will lie in state Thursday from 8:00 AM until time of the service.

The family will receive friends Thursday evening from 6:00 to 8:00 PM at the funeral home.

Burial will be in the Walker Cemetery near Thayer with services under the direction of Carter Funeral Home in Thayer.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Gideons International and left at the funeral home.
