He served as a board member of the Oregon County Sheltered Workshop and was a former member of the Couch R-1 School Board of Directors and the University of Missouri Extension Council.
He was gentle and kind, a good listener, and always there to lend a hand or words of wisdom. Eddie provided us all an example of strength and honor. He led what most would call a simple life and didn’t care much for worldly possessions. Most important to him were God’s most precious gifts, Salvation and relationships with family and friends that sustained him throughout his life. He never sought the limelight, but always seemed to be doing something funny and has been the source of laughter at many of our family events.
He had many hobbies which included cattle, riding horses, farming, fishing, western books and movies, eating with friends and family, Western hunts with his boys and going to support his grandkids at games and other activities. Traveling was something Eddie loved to do with his family and there are many great memories from those family vacations.
Eddie was very good with numbers and could remember numbers from many years prior. He was left handed and very artistic. He has given nicknames to all his family and those will be forever special to each one.
Many were impacted and touched by Eddie and all will miss him greatly. We can find comfort and joy in knowing that he is no longer suffering in this world with sickness, but with our Lord and Savior celebrating with those who went before him.
