Earl Grover Pressley of Koshkonong, Missouri, went to be with the Lord on June 26, 2019. He was born on February 21, 1944 at the Pressley farm near Koshkonong, Missouri to Hayden Crawford Pressley and Thelma Stith Pressley. Earl was married to Pauline Merka Pressley.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Hayden and Thelma Pressley; and his sister, Oneda Young.
Earl leaves behind his wife, Pauline; one son, Les Pressley and wife, Tammy and daughter, Tressa Pressley; one brother, H.C. Pressley; three step children, Dawn Braun and husband, Robert; Frank Joe Merka and wife, Mary Ann, and Kristi Rogers and husband, Derek; many grandchildren and great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews; other relatives; and countless friends.
Earl resided in Koshkonong his entire life and was employed at Koshkonong High School for twenty-five years. He later was employed at Mammoth Spring High School for five years. After his retirement from teaching, he worked at Pease Farm for fifteen years.
Earl enjoyed square dancing, hunting with bird dogs and spending time with his family and friends.
He was a long-time board member and spent many hours caring for the Shiloh Grand Gulf Cemetery. He was a Christian and attended the Koshkonong Methodist Church.
Earl will be remembered as a loving and caring husband, father, grandfather and a friend to all. He will truly be missed by all that knew him.
Funeral services for Earl Pressley, age 75, of Koshkonong, Missouri will be held, Tuesday, July 2, 2019 at 2:00 PM in the Carter Funeral Home Chapel in Thayer with Brother Ronnie Richardson and Brother Johnny Holesapple officiating.
The body will lie in state at the Carter Funeral Home Chapel in Thayer on Tuesday, July 2, 2019 from 8:00 AM until service time.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may me made in his memory to the Shiloh Grand Gulf Cemetery Association.
