Priscilla “Sissy” Ann Hymel Roe, age 78, passed away peacefully at her home in La Marque, Texas. She came into the world on February 10, 1948, in Houston, Texas, born to the late Norman Patrick Hymel, Sr. and Evelyn Geraldine Hymel of Labadieville, Louisiana.

Priscilla dedicated much of her life to helping others through her rewarding work in home health care. On November 27, 1976, she married the love of her life, Michael Howard Roe of Morgan City, Louisiana, with whom she shared nearly 50 years of marriage. Together, they built a beautiful life grounded in their shared roots.

A woman of deep devotion, Priscilla was a proud member of the Baptist faith. Outside of her work and family, she had an undeniable zest for life. She absolutely loved setting sail on cruises and exploring new destinations. And, as her family fondly recalls with a smile—we won’t even mention her legendary love for shopping!

Her legacy of love lives on through her devoted husband, Michael Howard Roe; her children, Jerry Lee Tullos, Jr. and his wife Joanie, Peggy Sue Uchtman and her husband Keith, Angela Ann Hughes, and Bennie Ray Tullos. She was the cherished grandmother to 11 grandchildren and the proud great-grandmother to 19 great-grandchildren and multiple foster children.

Priscilla was reunited in death with her beloved parents, Norman Patrick Hymel, Sr. and Evelyn Geraldine Hymel; multiple brothers and sisters; and one precious great-grandson.

The family extends their deepest gratitude to Gentiva of La Marque, Texas, for the exceptional and compassionate care provided during this difficult time.

Funeral arrangements are incomplete.
