Zack C. Cerutti was born the son of Paul Cerutti and Grace Waldon Cerutti on September 3, 1938, in Thayer, Missouri and died August 5, 2016 in West Plains, Missouri,at the age of 77 years.
He was united in marriage on September 27, 1957 in Independence, Missouri to Mildred June Jenkins who preceded him in death on May 7, 2015.
He is survived by three children, Velda Pierce and husband, Waterman James of Overland Park, Kansas, Velma Rogers and husband, Rick of Edwardsville, Kansas and Zack Dwayne Cerutti and wife, Caroline of Thayer, Missouri; eight grandchildren, Tara Young and husband, James, Sarah Pierce, Danny Pierce, Stephen Cerutti and wife, Grace, Michael Cerutti and wife, Christina, Amenah Tichener, Samanthah Rogers and Julia Rogers; twelve great grandchildren, Austin, Gabriel, Madison , Cameron, Kaitlyn, Lacee, Brianna, Makayla, Asreala, Daniel, Theadore and Liam; one sister-in-law, Lennice Cerutti of Farmington, Missouri; several neices, nephews; other relatives and many friend.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Paul and Grace Cerutti; his step-father, John Braden one daughter, Sherri Lynne Cerutti; two great grandaughters, Angelina Pierce and Brooklyn Cerutti; two brothers, Hugh and Bill Cerutti; two sisters, Pauline Hoffsteddler and Mary Jane Pierce and one half sister, Jeannette Sorrell.
He worked as Superintendent of Public Works for the city of Raytown, Missouri for over twenty-five years. He, along with his wife, June was independent truck drivers, driving for North American Van Lines Elite services for over twenty years. During that time they transported for the US Pentagon and hauled priceless art exhibits. He was later employed by Steed Brothers Trucking in Thayer.
Mr. Cerutti was of the Assembly of God faith. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and was an avid Kansas City Royals fan. He will truly be missed by his family and many friends.
Funeral service for Zack C. Cerutti age 77 of Thayer, Missouri will be held Monday August 8, 2016 at 1:00 PM at the Carter Funeral Home Chapel in Thayer Missouri with Brother Brad Pierce officiating.
The Family will receive friends on Monday 12:00 noon until service time, at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society and left at the funeral home.
