Graveside services for Willliam Henry Cloinger, 92, West Plains, Missouri, will be held at 10:00 a.m., Friday, May 30, 2014, at Homeland Cemetery, Howell County, Missouri with Brother Bill Bales officiating, under the direction of Carter Funeral Home, Inc., West Plains.
He was born the son of the late Lon Cloinger and Martha Elizabeth Johnston Cloinger, on August 1, 1921 in West Plains, Missouri and died May 26, 2014 in West Plains, Missouri.
He is survived by seven children, Betty Barton, Cabot, Arkansas, Ed Cloinger and wife, Dianna, Vilonia, Arkansas, Benny Cloinger, Watervlite, Michigan, Aretta Rhoads and husband, Carl, West Plains, Missouri, Tom Cloinger and wife, Gina, Jackson, Tennessee, Michele Cloinger, Cabot, Arkansas, and Jeanie Carter, Dallas, Texas; ten grandchildren, ten great great grandchildren, and two great great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents; one son, Bobby Cloinger, and several silblings.
William served his country in the United States Army. He loved fishing. He was a wonderful father, grandfather, great grandfather, and great great grandfather, and friend to many, and will be sadly missed by all who knew and loved him.
Public viewing will be held Thursday, May 29, 2014 until 9:00 p.m.
