Wesley Ray

Owen Wesley Ray, 76, West Plains departed this life March 21, 2016 at Ozarks Medical Center in West Plains, Missouri.

He was born February 10, 1940 at West Plains, Missouri to Owen and Rosalie Ray.

On January 20, 1960, he was married in West Plains to Elsie Lea Mayo.

He is survived by his wife, Lisa, of the home, West Plains; two children, Michele McHan and husband, Steve of Winston-Salem, North Carolina and Gina Ray of West Plains, Missouri; three grandsons, James Michael Crabtree, Fort Worth, Texas, Matthew and Justin Brashers of West Plains.

He is preceded in death by his parents and one infant sister.

Mr. Ray owned and operated  Ray’s Western Store and other business interests.

He attended Central Church of Christ of West Plains. He loved to hunt and fish with his friends.

Funeral services for Owen Wesley Ray will be Friday, March 25, 2016 at 2:30 p.m. at Carter Funeral Home Chapel, West Plains, with Dennis Willard officiating.

A short visitation time will also be held from 1:30 to 2:30 p.m. on March 25, 2016 at Carter Funeral Home Chapel, West Plains.

Burial will be held in Oak Lawn Cemetery, West Plains, under the direction of Carter Funeral Home, Inc., West Plains.
