Funeral Services for Terry W. Rowland, 58, West Plains, Missouri, formerly of Vicksburg, Mississippi, will be 2:00 p.m., Friday, November 25, 2011, at Carter Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Greg Collins officiating under the direction of Carter Funeral Home, West Plains.

He was born the son of Martha Louise Mellinger Rowland and the late Robert Lowell Rowland, on June 15, 1953 in Rock Island County, Ill. and went home to be with our Lord November 22, 2011 at his home in West Plains.

He was united in marriage August 27, 1985 in Tallulah, Louisiana to Shirley Marie.

He is survived by his wife, Shirley Rowland, of the home, West Plains, Missouri; his mother, Martha Louise Mellinger Rowland, Marshfield, Missouri; three children, Robin Rowland, Memphis, Tennessee, Elizabeth Bell, husband, Justin, Quantico, Virginia, and Jeffrey Rowland, of the family home, West Plains, Missouri; four brothers, Robert Rowland, wife, Linda, Olive Branch, Mississippi, James Rowland, wife, Michelle, Marshfield, Missouri, Steve Rowland, wife, Tina, Vicksburg, Mississippi, and Gary Rowland, Marshfield, Missouri; two grandchildren, Landon Bell, Quantico, Virginia and Destiny Rowland, Memphis, Tennessee.

He was preceded in death by his father Robert Lowell Rowland.

Terry was a beloved husband and eternal Best Friend, father, grandfather, music lover, musician (keyboards), vocalist, generous, warm-hearted, loving, caring, amazing man. He blessed them with his friendship, generosity, warm-hearted and loving and caring nature.

Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society and can be left at the funeral home.

Family visitation will be held Friday, November 25, 2011 from 10:00 a.m. until noon, Carter Funeral Home Chapel, West Plains.

Burial will be in Oak Lawn Cemetery under the direction of Carter Funeral Home, Inc., West Plains.
