Ruth Ann Craig was born the daughter of Oris Risley and Estella (Powers) Risley on January 30, 1943, in Dubuque, Iowa, and departed this life on April 25, 2015, in Jonesboro, Arkansas, at the age of 72 years.
She was united in marriage on July 11, 1977, in Rockford, Illinois, to Franklin Craig, who preceded her in death on November 2, 2008.
She is survived by three children, Kris Johnson and husband, Lee of Lake Havasu, Arizona, Franklin Michael Craig of Thayer, Missouri, and Sherry Goetting of Myrtle, Missouri; six grandchildren, Jessica Davis and husband, Brandon, Nicole Johnson, Luke Craig, Colten Goetting, Cody Goetting, and Cameron Goetting; two brothers, Jim and John Risley; four sisters, Mary Quick, Carmen Flynn, Teresa Adams, and Eileen Eck; several nieces and nephews; other relatives and many friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Oris and Estella Risley; her husband, Franklin Craig; one son, Herbert Craig; one daughter, Teresa May Craig; three brothers, Arnie, Reno, and Joe Risley; and one sister, Joyce Joos.
Ann loved the Green Bay Packers and enjoyed watching old western movies, listening to Elvis Presley music, watching the deer and birds play in her yard, attending family gatherings, and visits from her children and grandchildren.
She will be remembered as a quiet lady with a fun sense of humor, a kind heart, giving spirit, and her unconditional love and devotion for her family. She will truly be missed by her family, friends, and the community in which she lived.
Funeral services for Mrs. Craig will be held at 2:00 PM, Thursday, April 30, 2015, at the Carter Funeral Home Chapel in Thayer, Missouri, with Erman Croney officiating.
The family will receive friends at the Funeral Home in Thayer on Wednesday evening, April 29th, from 6:00 until 8:00 PM.
