Ruby Turnbull, 81, Vanzant, Missouri passed away peacefully at her home, surrounded by her family.

She was born April 22, 1944 in Siloam Springs, Missouri to the late Bert Collins and Dovie Margaret “Collins” Collins.

She was married to Bud Turnbull, June 1, 1960 at West Plains, Missouri. They had been married thirty-one years before she lost the love of her life. This year would have been sixty-five years of marriage. To this union five children were born.

She is survived by sons, Bruce Turnbull (Amanda), Dennis Turnbull, Jimmy Turnbull (Sarah); daughter-in-law, Sheri Turnbull; grandchildren, Sarah Causey (Robbie), Sheri Thompson (Edward), Brandon Turnbull (Samantha), Jacob Turnbull, Alex Davault (Kim), John Turnbull (Ramon), Sam Turnbull (Taylor), Julie Olsen (Joe), McKayla Kendrick (Canyon), Clayton Turnbull (Courtney), Ronnie Turnbull, and Nicole Turnbull; great grandchildren, Ryan, Emily, Shelby, Korina, Allison, Braxton, Evelyn, Lyla, Brantley, Emory, Mazlee, Jalee, Brice, Ruby, Teri, Edward, Naomi, and Aurora; a host of nieces and nephews, and two brother-in-laws, Ralph Turnbull and Wayne Turnbull.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Bud Turnbull; infant son, Ronnie Turnbull, youngest son, Melvin (Toby) Turnbull; her parents, Bert and Dovie Collins; her silblings, Guy Collins (Darlene) Otis Collins (Roberta), Sid Collins (Vivian), Wilbert Collins (Alene), James Collins, Marie Crisp (Hayes), Sybil Heavener, Maxine Madden (James), and a special nephew, Terry Collins.

She attended the Richville Seventh Day Adventist Church. She loved the Lord and her family dearly. She was the sweetest and most kind soul. She will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved her.

She loved canning, growing flowers, working in her garden, and chasing George making sure he was behaving.

The thing she loved most of all was being with her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren. She loved to take pictures of her family and always had a big collection.

Graveside services will be held Tuesday, June 17, 2025 at 2:00 p.m. at the Pleasant Mound Cemetery, Douglas County, Missouri, under the direction of Carter Funeral Home, Inc., West Plains, Missouri.

Body will lie in state on Monday, June 16, 2025 until 4:00 p.m. at the Carter Funeral Home Chapel, West Plains.
