Ruby Holesapple

Ruby Emily (Boles) Holesapple was born the daughter of Melvin Earl Boles and Pearl Theadora (Schively) Boles on January 20,1937 in Fresno, California and departed this life January 18, 2013 at Brandsville, Missouri, at the age of 75 years.

She is survived by two sons, Woodrow Holesapple of Brandsville, Missouri and Jeff Farrell of the State of Oregon; one daughter, Suzanna Gatewood and husband, Timothy, of Brandsville Missouri; five grandchildren, Nichole, Liza Marie, Ronyell, Jessica and Jatanna; eleven great grandchildren; one sister, Evelyn Hackworth of Arlington, Texas; one brother, Frank Boles and wife, Betty, of Enterprize, Alabama; several nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Earl and Pearl Boles; two sons, Larry Holesapple and James Holesapple, Jr.; one daughter, Carla Jane Holesapple: one grandson, Justin Dean Kenny and one brother, Harold Boles.

Ruby earned a Bachelors Degree in Business Education from Southwest Missouri State University. She was employed as a medical assistant in the Veterans Hospital, retiring after more than twenty years of service.

Ruby loved reading and tennis. She was an avid sports fan, following all of the Zizzer games, and enjoyed watching her favorite football team, the Kansas City Chiefs.

She was of the Protestant faith, a lady with a kind heart, a giving spirit, and a deep devotion to her family. She will truly be missed by all.

Graveside services for Ruby Holesapple will be at 4:00 PM, Monday, January 21, 2013, in the Koskonong Cemetery at Koshkonong, Missouri with Reverend Dennis Williams officiating.  Burial will be in the Koshkonong Cemetery with services under the direction of Carter Funeral Home, Inc. in Thayer.

    She was beautiful person inside and out I will truely miss her. She was my protector as a young boy growing up and a beloved sister for life.

    Sorry Frank to hear of you’re sis Ruby, I well remember you all so cheerful and fun times through school. I see sis Evelyn is living in Tx. near my daughter.
