Ronnie Roberts, Sr.

Ronnie Ray Roberts, Sr. was born the son of Floyd E. and Sarah Ann (Roy) Roberts on August 25, 1947 in Doniphan, Missouri, and departed this life January 25, 2013 at his home near West Plains, Missouri at the age of 65 years.

He was united in marriage on October 27, 1967 in Koshkonong, Missouri, to Connie Poulette.

He is survived by his wife, Connie Roberts of the home; two sons, Ronnie Roberts, Jr. and wife, Ruby of Koshkonong, Missouri and Aaron Roberts and wife, Jackie of West Plains, Missouri; three grandchildren, Ronnie “Trey” Roberts, III, Sierra Roberts and Trevor Roberts, all of Koshkonong, Missouri; three special friends, Shannon Collins, Dustin Kupitz and Ridge Burke; two brothers, Donald Lee Roberts and wife, Betty of Maryland Heights, Missouri and Bobby Joe Roberts of West Plains, Missouri; two brothers-in-law, Herb Poulette and wife, Annette and Curtis Poulette and wife, Barbara; one sister-in-law, Brenda Smith and husband, Kenny; several nieces, nephews, cousins and many friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Floyd and Sarah Roberts; and his father-in-law and mother-in-law, Leon and Mae Poulette.

Ronnie served in the Army National Guard. He loved raising, riding and trading horses as well as working on saddle and tack repair. He was proud of his grandchildren and enjoyed going with them to rodeos.

He was of the Pentecostal faith, and will be remembered as a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother and friend. He will truly be missed by all.

Funeral Services for Mr. Roberts will be Monday, January 28, 2013 at 10:00 AM in the Carter Funeral Home Chapel at Thayer, Missouri.

The family will receive friends at the Funeral Home in Thayer, Sunday evening from 6:00 until 8:00 PM.

Burial will be in the Thayer Cemetery in Thayer, Missouri.
