Reva Sue (Watson) Lance was born the daughter and only child, of Ralph Raymond Watson and Mary Ellen (Warren) Watson on June 8, 1944, in Alton, Missouri, and departed this life August 13, 2017, at Ozarks Medical Center in West Plains, Missouri, at the age of 73 years.

She was united in marriage on June 10, 1967, at Alton, Missouri, to Dow Lance, who preceded her in death on January 18, 2014.

She is survived by two sons, Scotty Lance and wife, Jeannie of West Plains, Missouri, and Denzil Lance and wife, Cindy of Alton, Missouri; four grandchildren, Vincent, David, Shaylin, and Jasmine; other relatives and many friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Ralph and Mary Ellen Watson; her husband, Dow Lance; and one infant daughter, Vonda Sue Lance.

Reva was a dedicated homemaker, always filling her home with love for her family.

She enjoyed reading, word search puzzles, gospel music, and visiting with family and friends.

She was a long-time member of the Piney Free Will Baptist Church, where she enjoyed studying God’s word and the Christian fellowship.

She was a devoted wife, loving mother, cherished grandmother, loyal friend, and will truly be missed by all.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, August 19, 2017 at 2:00 PM at the Carter Funeral Home Chapel in Thayer, Missouri.

The family will receive friends Friday, August 18th from 6:00 until 8:00 PM at the Carter Funeral Home Chapel in Thayer.

Burial will be in the Lance Cemetery near Alton, Missouri, with services under the direction of Carter Funeral Home, Inc. in Thayer.

    Although we haven’t seen Reva Sue for many years she will be forever missed by us. We will never forget the good times we cherished on sunday afternoon’s when we gathered together at Aunt Mary and Uncle Ralph’s we sure did have fun eating and playing games. WE MISS YOU ALL VERY MUCH . Know that were Thanking praying for you, Scotty ,Denzil, And your family at this time of sorrow. Hope to see you before it’s our turn.
