  Rachel (Cypret) McGhee age, 95 of Couch, Missouri passed away April 22, 2023, at her home in Couch, Missouri. Rachel married the love of her life Rathelee McGhee on August 21, 1945, in Pocahontas, Arkansas. They were happily married for 61 years until Rathelee passing in 2007.

   Rachel was a life-long member of CenterPoint Church of God of Prophecy serving as church clerk for many years and Sunday school secretary assistant for years.

   Rachel loved making chicken and dumplings for the holidays and church dinners.  Rachel loved everyone, especially her family and close friends. She will be missed by all that knew her.

   She is survived by three children Gale Weber, Gary McGhee, wife Vicki and Janet Roberts, husband Ray all of Couch, Missouri; one daughter in-law Joan McGhee of West Plains, Missouri; five grandchildren Stephanie Difani, husband Byron, Lisa Davidson, husband Bill, Brad McGhee, wife Lisa, Dann Webber, wife Kathy, Nathan Roberts, wife Heather; eleven great-grandchildren Brett, Blake, Kendra, Eric, Kailee, Carson, Jasmine, Darci, Presleigh, Brennen and Braidon; five great-great-grandchildren Braxton, Beckham, Bennett, Lucas and Joelle; one sister Lois; one brother Mike; one sister in-law Rachel; many nieces, nephews, other relatives, friends and one very special friend Venita Martin.

   She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband, two sons Duane and Bryant; one granddaughter Kristi; three sisters Naomi, Ruth and Judy; two brothers Herbert and James.

Funeral services  will be held on Wednesday, April 26, 2023, at 11:00 a.m. at the Carter Funeral Home Chapel in Thayer, Missouri. Visitation will be Wednesday April 26, 10:00 a.m. until time of service.

  Interment will be on Wednesday, April 26, 2023, in Cotton Creek Cemetery, Couch, Missouri with services under the direction of Carter Funeral Home, Inc. in Thayer, Missouri.

    Our family is so sad to hear of Rachel’s passing. She was such a kind and loving woman. She always had a sweet smile and kind word whenever we saw her. We are better people for having known both Rachel and Rathelee.
