Funeral services for Paul Marquardt, 89, West Plains, Missouri, will be held at 1:00 p.m., Wednesday, March 4, 2015, at Carter Funeral Home Chapel with the Reverend Charles Barnett officiating under the direction of Carter Funeral Home, Inc., West Plains.
He was born the son of the late Paul G. Marquardt and Anna Moerschel Marquardt, on April 18, 1925 in Fredericksfeld, Germany and died March 1, 2015 in West Plains, Missouri.
He was united in marriage June 16, 1953 in Salem, Arkansas to Eleanor Moerschel.
He is survived by his wife, Eleanor Moerschel Marquardt, of the home, West Plains, Missouri.
He was preceded in death by his parents; one brother, Gustav Marquardt, and one nephew, Danny Paul Marquardt.
He was employed with Clark and Son Well Drilling Company out of St. Claire, Missouri for over 35 years. He loved to camp and fish and enjoyed cutting his winter wood.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, March 3, 2015 from 5 to 7 p.m. at Carter Funeral Home, Inc., West Plains.
Burial will be in Union Hill Cemetery, Howell County, Missouri, under the direction of Carter Funeral Home, Inc., West Plains.
Military rites will be performed by the West Plains Honor Guard and the Missouri Funeral Honors Program.
