Patsy Ann Baldridge (Parnell), age 81, of Wirth, Arkansas passed away December 20, 2023, in Ash Flat, Arkansas. She was born March 6, 1942, in her grandparents’ home in Oregon County, Missouri to Rudolph and Callie (Denton) Parnell.
She married Omer (Pap) Baldridge sixty-three years ago, on March 14, 1960, in Mammoth Spring Arkansas. Within this union they had one daughter, Barbara.
Patsy was an avid seamstress and quilter, everyone in our part of the country would bring in quilt tops for her to quilt them. She has brought family, friends, and strangers together time and time again with a pot of her chicken and dumplings and whatever else she decided to fix that day. Pap and Patsy always had a good garden together, there weren’t many years where fewer than two-hundred tomato plants weren’t planted, handpicked, peeled and canned annually. In the fall of every year, everyone within a fifty-mile radius had enough turnips to feed them through the winter if they just came by Pap and Patsy’s house.
Patsy always knew the meaning of family and she always made even the strangest stranger feel welcome at her table with a warm meal. There were many good times shared with many people when Patsy was around, and she made sure every person knew they were welcomed and loved. Many family events were held at Pap and Patsy’s many “events” were impromptu guests and meals, but Patsy never turned anyone away.
Patsy attended church at Hanns for many years. She was a Christian and without doubt ready to move on to a better home.
Patsy is survived by her husband, Pap Baldridge; one daughter Barbara Gann, husband Bill; one granddaughter Melissa Rogers, husband Will; one great-granddaughter Katelyn Honeycutt, husband Hunter; two great-grand sons Blake and Danny Rogers; two great-great-grandsons Jaxon Honeycutt and arriving soon Jasper Honeycutt; sister Mary Sue Murphy, husband Ronald; and a host of nieces, nephews, other family members and friends.
Patsy is preceded in death by her parents; two brothers Wayne Allen and Ronnie Parnell; and many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and friends.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, December 23, 2023, at 10:00 a.m. at Carter Funeral Home Chapel in Thayer, Missouri. Visitation will be Friday, December 22, from 6:00 p.m. till 8:00 p.m. at Carter Funeral Home Chapel in Thayer, Missouri.
Interment will be on Saturday, December 23, 2023, in Pleasant Ridge Cemetery, Mammoth Spring, Arkansas with services under the direction of Carter Funeral Home, Inc. in Thayer, Missouri.

Ms Patsy was the most kind, endearing, and accepting hostess.
She & Pap, always showed us the most industrious lifestyle to share with all they raised, knew and met.
Ms Patsy with Pap, quilted, gardened, and visited through their days, always working together.
Many lives carry their memories and love.
GOD bless this family who love her so dearly.

So very sorry to hear this. We are in Fort Smith and didn’t know of her passing. Her chocolate gravy was the best. When we were neighbors their home was our second home. Barb so terribly sorry. Loved her so much.

Barbara, Sorry I am just hearing of this. Your mama welcomed many of our family members with Razorback quilts shortly after birth. They were/are treasured gifts. The baby spit rags I took to baby showers for years were always a hit. Not to mention the custom lift she made for one of our shorter preachers once- lol.I know she sure raised an awesome daughter! Love you and yours. May God Bless and comfort you all!

Patsy, whom I have known longer than not was a wonderful lady. She taught me how to embroider and many days were spent at her home.
She was a lovely and kind person. She freely gave of herself and her time. To know her was to learn from her.
Thank you Patsy. Heaven has gained an all around talented person. While I am saddened by our loss. I am happy for your gain.
