Opal Evelyn Brazeal, daughter of the late Cecil Brashear and Lela Day Brashear, was born June 27, 1932 in Koshkonong, Missouri and died February 4, 2022 at her home in West Plains, Missouri at the age of 89 years.
She was united in marriage in the summer at Salem, Arkansas to Kenneth Brazeal, who preceded her in death.
She is survived by one son, Cecil Edward Brazeal and wife Joy, West Plains, Missouri; one brother, Jack Brashear, Thayer, Missouri; one sister, Ruth Thompson and husband Boyd, West Plains, Missouri; five grandchildren, Joe Dean Stidman, Greg Stidman, Jeff Shipley, LaDonna Brazeal, and Darin Brazeal; fourteen great grandchildren, and ten great great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; one daughter, Lela Mae Stidman; four brothers, Clyde Brashear, Dale Brashear, Ben Brashear, and Fred Brashear; two sisters, Lois Butts and Lucille Jones, and one grandson.
She was a member of the Brandsville Pentecostal Mission Church in Brandsville, Missouri. She loved to work in her flower garden.
Graveside services will be held Sunday, February 6, 2022 at 2:00 p.m. at Union Hill Cemetery, Howell County, Missouri, under the direction of Carter Funeral Home, Inc., West Plains, Missouri.

Heaven got alot sweeter. Opal always had a smile and a kind word. Knew her years before I met Jeff and Lela. Then discovered we had alot more friends and family in common. So very sorry for your loss.
