Ola Lynn Wheeler was born in Pensecola, Florida, the daughter of A.C. Green and Davene Hayes Green on December 30, 1957 and departed this life on May 13, 2019 in West Plains, Missouri, at the age of 61 years.
She was united in marriage to Don Wheeler. Even though they divorced, they remained very good friends, and from this union came Nakoma and Nathan Wheeler.
She is survived by her children, Nakoma Wheeler of West Plains, Missouri and Nathan Wheeler of Thayer, Missouri; one brother, Richard Green and wife, LaWanda, of Thayer, Missouri; eight grandchildren, Rebekah, Robert, Chloe, Rachel, Justice, Jaxon, Carleigh and Harmony; one sister-in-law, Joi Haynes; many nieces and nephews; other relatives; and countless friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, A.C. and Davene Green; and one brother, David Green.
Lynn was an intelligent and hard-working individual. She went to college and received her master’s degree. She had many jobs she loved, including managing a Walmart, a public relations coordinator for Ozarks Medical Center and a direct care staff member for Newton’s Agency where she cared for special needs individuals. But her favorite job was being a mom and grandmother.
She was an artist, painting and drawing beautiful creations for her loved ones. She also loved playing computer games.
Lynn will be remembered as a loving and caring mother, grandmother, sister and a friend to all. She will truly be missed by all that knew her.
A Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, May 18, 2019 at 2:00 PM at the Carter Funeral Home Chapel in Thayer, Missouri with Samuel Warren officiating.
Interment will be held at Shiloh Grand Gulf Cemetery following the service.
