Neta Thompson

   Neta Lynn (Bair) Thompson, age 69, of Brandsville, Missouri, passed away August 8, 2023, at her home surrounded by loved ones. She was born February 20, 1954, to Mike and Myrtle (Bell) Bair in Amarillo, Texas. Neta married the love of her life Bobby Thompson in Marshall, Missouri. They were happily married for 47 years. Within this union they had six children Carrie, Shannon, Stacy, Jessica, Bobby Jr., and Brandon. In addition to raising her children, she raised two grandkids Kaylee and CJ.

   Neta enjoyed going to the farmers market, helping at the school with the PTO, spending a lazy Sunday at the river with just her feet soaking in the water. She loved watching all her favorite Chicago shows, going to the park with her grandkids, but most of all she loved having a big family, having big family meals at holidays and summer BBQ’s. Neta loved all her family and friends.er her  She will be greatly missed by all that knew her. She may be gone but will never be forgotten.

   She is survived by her husband, Bobby; six children Carrie Scrivner, Shannon Watkins (Spanky), Stacy Mowery, Jessica Villavicencio (Gil), Bobby Thompson Jr. (Lisa) and Brandon Thompson; eleven grandkids; two great-grandkids; one sister; one brother and numerous family and friends.

   She is preceded in death by her parents; one brother; two sisters; and her father-in-law and mother-in-law.

  Funeral services will be held on Friday, August 11, 2023, at 11:00 a.m. at the Carter Funeral Home Chapel in West Plains, Missouri. Visitation will be Friday, August 11, at 10:00 a.m. until the time of service.

  Interment will be on Friday, August 11, 2023, in Redburn Cemetery, Rover Missouri with services under the direction of Carter Funeral Home, Inc. in West Plains, Missouri.
