Nellie Mae Guiltner Wiles of Nixa, Missouri was born in LaCrosse, Arkansas on November 14, 1936 and entered Paradise on July 20, 2024 at the age of 87. She was the daughter of Eliga Smith Guiltner and Ethel Hanley Guiltner, and wife of J.R. Wiles.
Nellie is survived by her children, Mike Wiles (Donna) of Hot Springs, Arkansas, Paula Doss (Clay) of Camden, Arkansas, and Cindy Pitchford (Bill) of Nixa, Missouri; grandchildren, Tyler Pitchford (Andrea), Lyda Cole, Sky McAlister, Kathy Deimer, and Caleb Wiles; great-grandchildren, Elijah Pitchford, Noah Pitchford, Jonah Pitchford, Miah Deleon, Kenzie McAlister, Braxton Devore, and Hadley Deimer; and brother, Joe Guiltner.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Eliga Guiltner and Ethel Guiltner; husband, J.R. Wiles , sisters, Johnnie Ruth Stone, Lucille Deal, Lorine Jackson, and Rachel Arthur; brothers, Buren Guiltner, Hanley Guiltner, Franklin Guiltner, Leonard Guiltner, and Glendon Guiltner; and granddaughter, Cherish Hope Wiles.
Nellie grew up on a farm near LaCrosse, Arkansas and married her childhood sweetheart, J.R., on March 31, 1956. Her life was one of faithfulness to her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, and service to others through her role as a pastor’s wife in Churches in Arkansas and southern Missouri. She was kind and gentle, putting the needs of others above her own.
Graveside Services will be on Tuesday, July 23, 2024 at 2:00 p.m. at the Finley Creek Cemetery of Mount Pleasant/Sage, Arkansas.
Services under care of Carter Funeral Home Inc., – Thayer, Missouri.

Aunt Nellie has always been one of the sweetest most kind person I know, she always had a huge smile on her face, and showered people with love. I know it’s so very hard to lose a parent, I don’t like that we have to go through this part of life, but I have great joy in knowing we will all meet again. Love to all.
