  Melba Colleen (Paulson) Willison was born in Thayer, Missouri on October 18, 1949. She was the daughter of Patrick and Eva (Tyree) Paulson and departed this life on February 26, 2023, in Thayer, Missouri at the age of 73.
  Colleen married the love of her life Virgil Willison on November 15, 1968, and within this union they had three children.
She loved her family and friends. Her favorite thing to do was to spoil her grandkids.
  She was a cat lover. She raised many Siamese cats and sold them as a hobby. She was an Avon lady for many years, made many good friends with whom she loved talking and visiting with.
Colleen was a Christian and was baptized at a young age. She was a lifelong member of the Church of Christ. She will be sorely missed by all that knew her.
  Colleen is survived by her husband Virgil of the home in Thayer, Missouri; two sons Shaun, wife Rebecca of Mammoth Spring, Arkansas, and Shane, wife Traci of Thayer, Missouri; one granddaughter Mayce (Willison) Allen, husband Nick of Springfield, Missouri; five grandsons Kale, Griffin and Jackson of Thayer, Missouri; Macen and Ryan of Mammoth Spring, Arkansas; one sister Sheila (Paulson) Brunson, husband Paul of Lakeview, Arkansas; one niece Amber Brunson of Mountain Home, Arkansas; one nephew Zakk Brunson of Mountain Home, Arkansas; one great nephew Isaac Novy of Mountain Home, Arkansas; three Aunts Barbara Poulson, Rita Turner and Treva Atkins all of Mammoth Spring, Arkansas; and she had many cousins, extended family and friends.
  She is preceded in death by her parents, one brother Ron Paulson and one infant son Shannon Willison.

  Funeral services will be held on Thursday, March 2, 2023, at 1:00 p.m. at the Carter Funeral Home Chapel in Thayer, Missouri. Visitation will be Thursday, March 2 from 12:00 p.m. until time of service.

  Interment will be on Thursday, March 2, 2023, in Thayer Cemetery, Thayer, Missouri with services under the direction of Carter Funeral Home, Inc. in Thayer, Missouri.

    Uncle Virgil, Shaun and Shane, i am so sorry to hear about Aunt Colleen. i remember as a little girl she always would bring free samples of lip stick from Avon and also pretty ring’s that she would let my sister Carla ans i pick just one of them, of course they were costume jewery but we thought they were beautiful. She was always a ray of sunshine. Carla and i would like you all to know you are in our thoughts and prayers. We love you all. i know Aunt Colleen is in a better place now in no more pain.
