Mary Williams passed away on December 2nd, 2024 at West Vue Nursing home in West Plains Mo. At the age of 96 years old.

Mary Virginia Jordan Williams was born in Kennett Missouri on January 30,1928. Mary’s parents were William T. Jordan and Pearlie Mae Ford Jordan both deceased. She had three brothers, Raymond Thomas Jordan, Thomas Lee Jordan, (both deceased) and one surviving brother, Elmer David Jordan, Living in Hemmit, California.

Mary had four sisters, Ruth Jordan Crum, Delphi Jordan Goins, Florence Jordan Singleton, Geraldine Jordan Matlock, her niece Darlene Crum Skaggs was also raised by Mary’s parents (all deceased).

She married Robert E, Lee Williams Nov 4, 1950. They were married sixty five years when Robert passed away in 2016. Mary and Robert had one child, Jackie Lee Williams Utley and her husband, Larry of West Plains Missouri.

Mary had two grandchildren, Shane Matthew Utley and David William Utley and his wife Holly. She had six great grandchildren, Joshua Shane Utley, Brianna Nicole Utley, Madison Berlin Utley, Brett Matthew Utley, Bee Greene and Alise Brakeville.

Mary was a member of the Life Point Church of West Plains, Missouri.

Mary taught Sunday school in North Pekin Illinois at the United Pentecostal Church for many years and had a bible study ministry at the local nursing homes.

She loved to sing. She and her sister, Geraldine, sang on a radio gospel show in Kennett Missouri when they were young women.

While in Pekin she wrote a book called “Miracles Still Happen “using her own life’s experience for inspiration. In her last years at Life Point she loved to send Birthday cards and Get well cards just to brighten some one’s day.

Mary Williams was loved and respected by everyone who knew her, and will be greatly missed by family and friends.
