Mary Etta Barnett, 89, Mountain View, Missouri, was born to the late Marvin and Ethel (Day) Morrison on March 1, 1935 in Boise, Idaho, and went to her heavenly home January 5, 2025.

She was married November 29, 1952 in Salem, Arkansas to Charles Barnett, who preceded her in death August 24, 2021.

She is survived by two children, David and wife Pattie Barnett, Centerville, Indiana and Marybeth Wheeler and her husband Ronny, Mountain View, Missouri; three grandchildren, Thad Wheeler and his wife Melanie, Killen, Alabama; Lynsey Isaaac and husband Jeremy, Centerville, Indiana, and Rana Kluge and husband Sol, Chesapeake, Virginia; six great grandchildren, Ruger and Remington Wheeler, Killen, Alabama; Makensy and Charlotte Isaac, Centerville, Indiana,, and Jameson and Rosemary Kluge, Chesapeake, Virginia.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; one son, Chuck Barnett,; one brother, J. B. Morrison; one sister, Norma Russell, and one grandson Marvin Barnett.

Mary was a pastor’s wife for many years. She loved to take care of her house and enjoyed cooking, not only for her immediate family, but anyone who came through her front door. She will be sadly missed by all who knew and loved her.

Funeral services will be held Thursday, January 9, 2025 at 1:00 p.m. at the Midway Pentecostal Church, Thayer, Missouri.

Visitation will be held Wednesday, January 8, 2025 from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Carter Funeral Home Chapel, West Plains, Missouri.

Burial will be at Union Hill Cemetery, Howell County, Missouri, under the direction of Carter Funeral Home, Inc., West Plains, Missouri.

    Praying for the family. She was always so fun to be around. She and Charles were so faithful to visit Granny Lola & Grandpa Orval. I have many great memories with her~Kim (Romans) Combs
