Marilyn Kay Bible was born on January 15, 1945, in Thayer, Missouri, the daughter of Ray Virgil Whiteside and Daisy Mae Whiteside, and passed from this life on November 16, 2021, at her home in O’Fallon, Missouri, at the age of 76.
Kay was united in marriage on October 6, 1964, to Larry Wayne Bible.
She is survived by one daughter, Billie Rae Barnes and husband Jamie of O’Fallon, MO; one grandson, Alex James Barnes of O’Fallon, MO; two sisters, Donna Fink and husband, Doyle and Terri Hull, both of Thayer, MO; one sister-in-law, Sharon Bible of Eugene, MO; one nephew, Michael Fink and wife Jamie of Forney, TX; four nieces, Cindi Fink and husband Skip Miller of Thayer, MO, Cynthia Bible of Eugene, MO, Diana Bax and husband Kenneth of Eugene, MO and Sandra Bible of Eugene, MO; two great nephews, Joshua Fink and wife Kelsey of Little Rock, AR and Nicholas Fink of Forney, TX; and many other special relatives and friends.
Kay was preceded in death by her husband, Larry Bible; her parents, Ray and Daisy Whiteside; her in-laws, Ralph and Carrie Bible; and two brothers-in-law, Lee Bible and Dan Hull.
She was a dedicated homemaker and a wonderful wife to Larry, her husband of 47.5 years. They were members of the First Baptist Church in Mammoth Spring, AR.
Kay was the best mother and friend a daughter could have, was the original Kool-Aid mom to all the neighborhood kids and threw the best childhood lumber parties. Kay was especially crazy about her grandson, Alex, Spending hours on the floor playing with him as a kid and later cheering him on playing video games. She loved Alex and was so proud of the young man he has grown up to be. Kay was a homebody, but truly loved people. We used to tease her when she’d say she was a quiet person, because we knew she loved to talk; but the truth was, she was an even better listener.
After living in Thayer, MO most of her life, Kay and her little Yorkie moved to O’Fallon, MO, and enjoyed making special memories there for three years, living next door to Jamie, Billie and Alex.
She will truly be missed by her family and friends.
