Funeral services for Layne Westley Reynolds, 28, will be held at 1:00 p.m., Friday, August 11, 2017, at the Carter Funeral Home Chapel, West Plains, under the direction of Carter Funeral Home, Inc., West Plains.

He was born the son of Monty Reynolds and the late Joanna Hensley Reynolds, on April 9, 1989 in West Plains, Missouri and died August 7, 2017 in West Plains, Missouri.

He is survived by his father Monty Reynolds and friend Margaret; one son, Eli River Reynolds; three brothers, Brock, Cameron, and Trey; maternal grandmother, Donna Hensley; paternal grandmother, Bonita Reynolds; three aunts, Samantha, Carilla, and special aunt, Tina Reynolds; cousins, Shane, Brittney, Louie, Robbie, and Angie, and many extended family members and friends.

He was preceded in death by his mother Joanna Hensley Reynolds and his paternal grandfather, Carral Reynolds.

He was a member of the Church of Christ. He loved to hunt and fish, and spend time with family and friends.

Visitation will be Friday, August 11, 2017 from 10:00 a.m. until time of service.

Burial will be in Pleasant View Cemetery, Gepp, Arkansas, under the direction of Carter Funeral Home, Inc., West Plains.

    Family gatherings seemed more complete when Layne was with us. How greatly he was loved.

    Layne was in my first grade class at Glenwood. He was such a sweet boy and so kind to his little brother.
