Laverne Arminta Wrenfrow was born the daughter of Earl Ivey and Esther Fay Earls Ivey on November 24, 1935 in Mammoth Spring, Arkansas and departed this life March 2, 2013 at her home near Mammoth Spring, Arkansas at the age of 77 years.

She was united in marriage on April 2, 1955 in Fulton County, Arkansas to Roy Wrenfrow.

She is survived by one son, Travis Wrenfrow and wife, Jackie of Thayer, Missouri; one daughter, Remona Combs of Mammoth Spring, Arkansas; five grandchildren, Travis Wrenfrow and wife, Jennifer of Thayer, Missouri, Brandi Sikora and husband, Jason of Odenton, Maryland, Courtney Ford and husband, Nicholas of Mammoth Spring, Arkansas, Megan Combs of Mammoth Spring, Arkansas and Jordan Combs of Mammoth Spring, Arkansas; two great grandchildren, Robert and Katelynn Wrenfrow of Thayer, Missouri; one brother, Eugene Ivey of Mammoth Spring, Arkansas; several nieces; nephews, other relatives and many friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Earl and Esther Ivey and one brother, Leroy Ivey.

Laverne was a faithful member of Union Hill Community Church. She was employed by Shady Oaks Health Care for many years, working as a housekeeper and laundry room supervisor.

Laverne had many hobbies which included, quilting, embroidery work, counted cross stitch and gardening. She will be remembered as an excellent cook, her deep devotion to her family and her great desire for all to be happy, content and always follow the Lord.

Funeral services will be at 10:00 AM, Tuesday, March 5, 2013 in the Carter Funeral Home Chapel at Thayer with Reverend Hank McElderry officiating.  Burial will be in the Field Creek Cemetery at Mammoth Spring, Arkansas.
