Everly Laverne Ellison was born the daughter of Harold Dills and Bertha (Perkins) Dills on November 29, 1945, in Koshkonong, Missouri and departed this life November 4, 2014, in West Plains, Missouri at the age of 68 years.

She was united in marriage on November 27, 1964, in Viola, Arkansas to Randall Ellison.

She is survived by her husband, Randall Ellison of the home in Mammoth Spring, Arkansas; two sons, Shaun Ellison and wife, Tiffany, and Dee Ellison, all of Mammoth Spring, Arkansas; one granddaughter, Shianne Ellison of Mammoth Spring, Arkansas; three sisters, Alma Nash of Kansas City, Missouri, Velma Rainwater of Kansas City, Missouri, and Elsie Pettyjohn of Thayer, Missouri; several nieces and nephews, other relatives, and many friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Harold and Bertha Dills, and an infant twin sister, Beverly Fern Dills.

Laverne was a graduate of the Koshkonong High School with the class of 1963. After moving to Kansas City, Missouri, she worked as an office clerk for Sears and Roebuck for many years.

Laverne was a dedicated homemaker, an excellent cook, and was known for her fried chicken and cornbread dressing.

She enjoyed working in her vegetable garden, growing beautiful flowers, caring for others, and most of all, baby sitting her granddaughter, Shianne.

She will be remembered as a devoted and loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and a loyal friend. She will truly be missed by all.

Graveside Services will be Friday, November 7, 2014, at 2:00 PM at the Sturgeon Cemetery near Mammoth Spring with Reverend Paul Richardson officiating.

Burial will be in Sturgeon Cemetery with arrangements under the direction of Carter Funeral Home, Inc. in Thayer.

    Randall and family, so sorry for your loss, I know this is a very difficult time but I’m sure there are a lot of fond memories that will bring comfort in time. God Bless you all.

    My heart is breaking for you all. I loved and thought the world of Laverne. Her kindness and warn smile always made my heart melt. My daddy loved her so. I will never forget how happy she made us all when she made jelly for him!! She was always “doing” for others and she will be greatly missed by all of us. If you need anything, please let us know.
