Larry Wayne Corbett was born the son Charles Corbett and Ila Hurtt Corbett, on December 15, 1950, in Mammoth Spring, Arkansas and died September 22, 2017 in Thayer, Missouri at the age of 66 years.

He was united in marriage on May 27, 1977, in Mammoth Spring, Arkansas to Peggy Romine.

He is survived by his wife, Peggy Corbett of the home in Mammoth Spring, Arkansas; two sons, Bryan Corbett of Mountain Home, Arkansas and Brad Corbett and wife, Jessie of Mammoth Spring, Arkansas; five grandchildren, Jordan Corbett of Mountain Home, Arkansas, Landon Brewer, Adrianna Corbett, Molly Corbett and Piper Corbett all of Mammoth Spring, Arkansas; one brother, Stan Corbett and wife, Becky of Chattanooga, Tennessee; one sister, Jan Hendershot of Liberty, Missouri; one sister-in-law, Lois Curtis and husband, Rex; one niece, Angie Holland and husband, Josh; one nephew, John Hendershot; three great nieces, Katie Corbett, Lillian Phillips, Flora Bella Holland; one great nephew, Jonathan David Hendershot; other relatives and a host friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Charles and Ila Corbett; one brother-in-law, Gary Hendershot; one nephew, Chris Corbett; and his mother-in-law, Fern Romine.

He was an active member of the Mammoth Spring Church of Christ since 1976. He served in many capacities, including song leader, class room teacher and will be remembered for his willingness to help others.

Larry was a businessman, owning and operating C&H Appliance for many years.

He was an avid outdoorsman and enjoyed nature.  He was an expert rifleman and liked to hunt deer with his bow and muzzleloader. Larry had a passion for restoring old cars and going camping.

Larry was deeply devoted to his family and will be remembered as a loving and caring husband, dad and granddad. He will truly be missed by all that knew him.

Funeral services for Larry Corbett will be held Monday, September 25, 2017 at 2:00 p.m. at the Mammoth Spring Church of Christ.

The family will receive friends at Carter Funeral Home in Thayer on Sunday, September 24, 2017 from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.

Burial will be in Riverside Cemetery with services under the direction of Carter Funeral Home, Inc. in Thayer.

    Larry was a great guy and my family just thought the world of him… He had such a sense of humor and will be missed by so many. Sending prayers for comfort and peace to all the family. May God comfort you and give you strength.
