Kristopher Andrew Kerwin was born the son of Paul Pennington and Penny Kerwin Pennington on December 22, 1998, in West Plains, Missouri, and departed this life on October 14, 2017, near Rolla, Missouri, at the age of 18 years.

He is survived by his parents, Paul and Penny Pennington of Thayer, Missouri; maternal grandmother, Sandy Major of Winfield, Kansas; maternal grandfather, James Kerwin of Thayer, Missouri; paternal grandmother, Linda Pennington of Thayer, Missouri; maternal great grandmother, Maxine Ptacek of Winfield, Kansas; loving girlfriend, Daisy of Mansfield, Missouri; uncle David Kerwin, Adam Kerwin, and Dustin Lyon; aunt Krystal Kerwin and Hope Lyon; plus several others, including great aunts and uncles; many cousins; and a host of friends.

He was preceded in death by his paternal grandfather, Olen Pennington.

Kristopher was a graduate of Thayer High School, graduating with the class of 2017. He was an active member of the Beta Club, FBLA, FCCLA, Spanish Club, Band and Golf teams. His favorite sport was football, and enjoyed playing since the fourth grade.

Kristopher was a Freshman at the State Technical College of Missouri Lynn Campus.

He had an outgoing personality, enjoyed being with friends, and had worked at McDonald’s and Pizza Inn.

He will truly be missed by his family, his friends, and all that knew him.

Funeral services for Kristopher will be held Thursday, October 19, 2017, at 2:00 PM at the Carter Funeral Home Chapel in Thayer.

The family will receive friends at Carter Funeral Home on Thursday, October 19th from 1:00 PM until service time.

    Kris will truly be missed. But will be watching over his mom and dad. I just don’t have the right words for this loss.
