Kathryn Pearl Brown was born the daughter of George Posten and Lottie (Pierce) Posten on February 28, 1943, in Oakdale, California, and departed this life July 7, 2016, at Eaglecrest Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Ash Flat, Arkansas at the age of 73 years.

She was united in marriage on August 1, 1963 in Oilton, Oklahoma to Bill Teichmer who preceded her in death. She was united in marriage on April 23, 1971 in Thayer, Missouri to Joseph Lawrence Brown.

She is survived by her husband, Joe Brown, of the home in Mammoth Spring, Arkansas; one son, Keith Teichmer of Salem, Arkansas; four step-children, Terry Brown of Thayer, Missouri, Kathy Bowers and husband, Bill of Mammoth Spring, Arkansas, Robert Brown and wife, Kristy of Thayer, Missouri and Ed Brown and wife, Rebecca of Thayer, Missouri; thirteen grandchildren; four great grandchildren; two sisters, Clara Kennedy and Nancy Warden; several nieces; nephews; other relatives and many friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, George and Lottie Posten; her first husband, Bill Teichmer; one daughter, Luanne Brown, and one sister, June Warden.
She attended the First Church of God in Thayer, Missouri.

She was employed by Ozarks Medical Center in West Plains, Missouri for twenty years, working as a surgical nurse. She enjoyed sewing, crocheting, embroidery work and ceramics. She was an avid reader and an excellent cook.

Kathryn will truly be missed by her family and all who knew her.

Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, July 12, 2016 at 10:00 AM at the Carter Funeral Home Chapel in Thayer with Brother Aaron Holman, Brother Robert Brown and Brother Terry Brown officiating.

The family will receive friends on Monday evening from 6-8 PM.

Burial will be in Rose Hill Cemetery.
