Julia Leu McFann was born the daughter of Abner S. Rhoades and Julia A. Leu Rhoades on September 26, 1929 in Couch, Missouri and departed this life November 12, 2017 in Jonesboro, Arkansas at the age of 88 years.

She was united in marriage on March 25, 1951 at Ravenden, Arkansas to Hutch McFann, who preceded her in death on August 22, 2008.

She is survived by one son, Keith McFann and wife, Connie of Myrtle, Missouri; one daughter, Karen Rickman and husband, David of Jonesboro, Arkansas; five grandchildren, Sara Fullington and husband, Justin of Republic, Missouri, Sallie McFann of Myrtle, Missouri, Daniel Rickman and wife, Jessica of Bono, Arkansas, Kari Rickman and Katelin Rickman, both of Jonesboro, Arkansas; two great grandchildren, Daden Fullington and Arianne Rickman; two brothers, Hosea Rhoades of Thayer, Missouri and John Rhoades and wife, Carol of Columbia, Missouri; numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Abner and Julia Rhoades; her husband, Hutch McFann; and four brothers, Noah, Silas, Naaman, and Paul Rhoades.

Julia Leu was a Christian and a longtime member of the Dellhalf Church of Christ. She was a devoted daughter, a sister, a wife, a mother, a grandmother, a great grandmother, and a dear friend. She will be remembered for her quiet spirit and her determination. Hutch was her true love and her family was of great value to her.

Her grandchildren will always remember her for her ability to make each one feel special and loved. She was a great cook and touched the hearts of each family member with their favorite dish. She was also a gardener and a quilter. She made sure that each child and grandchild had many keepsake quilts.

We love you and you will be greatly missed by all.

Funeral services for Mrs. McFann will be held Thursday, November 16th, 2017 at 2:00 PM at Dellhalf Church of Christ near Myrtle, Missouri.

The family will receive friends at the Carter Funeral Home Chapel on Wednesday, November 15th from 6:00 until 8:00 PM.

Burial will be in the Jeff Cemetery near Myrtle with services under the direction of Carter Funeral Home, Inc. in Thayer.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Children’s Home Inc., 5515 Walcott Rd, Paragould, AR 72450.

    So sorry to hear of Julia ‘s passing. Sorry can not be with the family at this time but my heart felt prayers are with them all ! Rest In Peace !
