My time with Joyce as her friend and husband was the best time of both our lives.
When she learned I had lived in Alaska and wanted to return to live there, she was
all about it. It turned out she had the same dream. So it was we bought a beautiful
log home on a mountain side outside of Palmer, Alaska, She absolutely loved every
minute. The one thing that brought us back to Missouri was her son and grand daughter.
She missed being close to them.

I will always hold you close to my heart, Honey. I know you are looking down on
the kids and me. Love you forever.

Little Brother is what she called me, we met at the VA as we both worked in Mo and later we met again in Palmer AK as I too went there to fulfill my longing to experience Alaska. Jim and Joyce welcomed me into their home, we shared meals and holidays just living a few blocks away but so far from our roots. After an emergency surgery they watched over me in their lovely log home. I felt like I was family. Joyce, you will be greatly missed by many.
