Homer Calvin Spears, 87, West Plains, Missouri, died August 24, 2011 at his home in West Plains.
He was born the son of the late Arthur Spears and Lily Hadley Spears, on January 7, 1924 in Crossville, Alabama.
He was united in marriage November 8, 1952 in Flint, Michigan to Sharon Joyce Spears, who preceded him in death.
He is survived by one daughter, Sheila Joyce Green, husband, Estel, Willow Springs, Missouri; a special friend, Anita Reno, West Plains, Missouri; two grandchildren and five great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Sharon Joyce Spears, and his parents, Arthur Spears and Lily Hadley Spears; two sisters, Myrtle Butler, and Maude Lee Forest.
He was employed with Amyx Manufacturing Company in West Plains for many years. He was a loving father, and friend to many, and will be sadly missed by all who knew and loved him.
