    Condolences to all the family.

I would rather celebrate her long and eventful life with a smile than mourn her passing with a long face.
My two favorite Auntie Jo stories are…

Many years ago, Auntie Jo happened to be in Springfield while Jo (her niece, but sometimes they were more like sisters) and I were staying at Nana’s house. One morning in the kitchen, Nana said to Auntie Jo, “Now, Jo, you visit with ’em while I fix breakfast.”
Auntie Jo said, “Now, Dorothy, you know I can’t visit on demand.”

Then there was the time that Jo was telling Auntie Jo a long story on the telephone. Auntie Jo interrupted her and said, “Honey, do you think you could tell me the last part first?”

    Rest in the Lord.

Auntie Jo a beacon of common sense. She was always able to bring things down to earth and put them in a light that made you smile, and then carry on.
    I will miss her so.

I have fond memories of time spent at Auntie Jo’s in Thayer and even fonder memories of visits with Josh and Megan in Mountain Grove.

All of us at the Kabul NursingHome dearly loved this lady. She had so many stories to tell.
I especially enjoyed taking her to Dr. appt. so we could go for fish afterwards. We will truly miss her.

I am so thankful to have had such a wonderful grandma. My best childhood memories are of coming to visit my nonnie. She made the best fried chicken and taco salad in the world! I dont know what it was but when nonnnie made it it was the best!!!! I have so many wonderful memories like the time she let me let my fireflies loose in my room at night, and all the fun me and my brothers had making forts and playing in nonnies house. I will cherish these memories forever!!! Rest in peace nonnie thank you for all the love you gave me.
