Faye Haney

Faye Dover Haney, 95, of Mammoth Spring, Arkansas, was born July 16, 1918 to Edd and Rosilla Lennox Dover in Frenchtown, Arkansas, and went to be with her Lord and Savior, January 18, 2014.

She is survived by sons, Jack Haney and wife, Becky of Mammoth Spring, Arkansas, Jim Haney and wife, Jan of Cherokee Village, Arkansas; daughters, Wanda Stark and husband, Coy of Mammoth Spring, Arkansas, and Gay Kerley and husband, James of Salem, Arkansas; nine grandchildren; fifteen great grandchildren; seven great great grandchildren, and a host of relatives and many friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Oren “Ode” Haney; one infant son; one brother, Gilbert Dover; and three sisters, Nora Todd, Elsie Cherry, and Minnie Roberts.

Faye was a dedicated homemaker, an avid gardener and enjoyed working in her flower garden and needlework, especially quilting. Most of all, she loved her family and treasured the time spent with each of them.

Faye was a member of the Mammoth Spring Church of Christ for many years. She will be remembered as a kind and caring lady with a deep devotion to her church, family, and the community in which she lived. She will truly be missed by her family and many friends.

Funeral Services for Mrs. Haney will be Monday, January 20, 2014, at 2:00 PM in the Mammoth Spring Church of Christ at Mammoth Spring, Arkansas, with Lee Moses officiating.

The family will receive friends at the Mammoth Spring Church of Christ on Monday, January 20th from 12:00 noon until 2:00 PM, with the funeral service following.

Burial will be in the Riverside Cemetery at Mammoth Spring, Arkansas, with services under the direction of Carter Funeral Home, Inc. in Thayer.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Children’s Homes, Inc., 5515 Walcott Road, Paragould, AR 72450, or donations may be left at the funeral home in Thayer.

    So sorry for your loss. In my book, Ms. Faye, was one of a kind, what you see is what you get! I learned so many things from her over the years and made so many great memories. Rest in Peace sweet angel, you’ve earned your wings.
