Eva Jean Paulson was born in Thayer, MO, the daughter of Garland Tyree and Nora (Bell) Tyree on September 10, 1928 and departed this life in Thayer, MO on December 5, 2020 at the age of 92 years.

She was united in marriage on May 18, 1946 in Salem, AR to Pat Paulson.  They shared 52 years together until he preceded her in death.

Eva is survived by her three children, son Ron Paulson of Thayer, MO, daughter Colleen Willison and husband Virgil of Thayer, MO, and daughter Sheila Brunson and husband Paul of Lakeview, AR; four grandchildren, Shaun Willison (Rebecca), Shane Willison (Traci), Zak Brunson, and Amber Brunson; five great grandchildren, Mayce Allen (Nick), Kale Willison, Griffin Willison, Jackson Willison, Isaac Novy, Macen Willison and Ryan Willison; two sisters, Treva Atkins (Steve) and Rita Turner; many nieces, nephews and cousins; other relatives and a host of friends.  Also surviving her is her Rescue Dog (black Lab) Daisy.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; one infant grandson, Virgil Shannon Isaac Willison; one sister, Neva Hefner; and one brother, Bob Tyree.

Eva was a devoted homemaker, worked as owner of Nora’s Café, co-owner of her husband’s business, Paulson Auto Body and Glass Co., worked in retail for Forschler Brothers, and worked at Wallace and Owens Grocery Store for many years.

She enjoyed traveling, going on planned trips with her sisters.  She loved gardening, raising plants and flowers, filling her home and yard with them.

Eva loved reading the Bible and was a faithful member of the Thayer Church of Christ.  She was very active in the church, teaching children’s classes, driving the church van, delivering groceries, taking communion to the sick and elderly, and cooking many meals.

She loved cooking for her family, especially homemade pies and cakes.  No one went hungry in her house.

She will be remembered as a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister, aunt and sister in Christ.  She will truly be missed by all who knew her.

Graveside services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, December 8, 2020 at Thayer Cemetery in Thayer, Missouri with Harvey Allen officiating.

Burial will be on Tuesday, December 8, 2020 at Thayer Cemetery in Thayer, Missouri with services under the direction of Carter Funeral Home, Inc. in Thayer, Missouri.

    Treva I am sorry for your loss of your dear sister. She was a lovely lady who from this obituary has lived a full and beautiful life which seems to have enriched the lives of so many.
