Etta (Jewell) Coursey , 80 of West Plains, Missouri came into this world on March 2, 1943, in Siloam Springs, Missouri, the daughter of Eck and Alta Collins and peacefully left it on November 3, 2023, in Springfield, Missouri
.
She was married to Donald Coursey who preceded her in death in 2007

She is survived by one son Donnie and wife Valerie Coursey, of Mt. Home, Arkansas; two daughters Penny Palmer of West Plains, Missouri, Kathy and husband Gene Hardin of West Plains, Missouri; nine Grandchildren, Matthew and wife Mary Beth Palmer of Koshkonong, Missouri, Joshua and wife Hannah Palmer of Thomasville, Missouri, Ashley Haigwood and Justin McCauley of West Plains, Missouri, Samantha Ellis of L.A., California, Roman And wife Kristin of West Plains, Missouri, Hannah Gleason of West Plains, Missouri, Rachel Coursey of Mt. Home, Arkansas, Caitlyn and husband Ryan Harris of West Plains, Missouri, Shelby and husband Brenden Fellhauer of Thayer, Missouri, and a host of other relatives and friends who will miss her greatly
.
She is preceded in death by her parents Eck and Alta Collins.

She was of the Christian faith. Reading her bible was one of her favorite things to do. She also loved being in her garden. Etta never met a stranger, was always willing to talk to anyone, and help where she could. She also enjoyed spending time with her family and friends.

Graveside services will be held Wednesday, November 8, 2023, at 2:00pm At the Oak Lawn Cemetery, West Plains, Missouri.

    Etta was my one of two aunts that I have left. She was my first babysitter that I can remember. She had such a nice laugh. I loved to hear it. I could talk about the Lord to her and we loved to do that. She was blessed and blessed others. I will miss her.
