Erma Adele Honeycutt

Erma Adele Case was born December 9, 1928, in Corning, Arkansas to Cora Dunning and Gilbert Case, and passed away September 6^th, 2022.   Erma married Wesley Honeycutt and they were blessed with eight children, 20 grandchildren, 43 great grandchildren and 8 great, great grandchildren.

Erma lived and worked on the farm, babysat several children of the community and was known for her love of children and was grandma to many.   She enjoyed the children in her life to the fullest measure, always having time to listen to a child’s questions, play games, and sing songs to them.   She was a strong Christian example, and she taught the kids about Jesus.   Erma was a spunky grandma with a fun sense of humor and her kids loved to spend time with her.   Erma loved gardening and canned food for her large family.   She loved spending time with her children, church family and friends.

Erma is preceded in death by her parents, Gilbert and Cora Case, her husband Wesley, two sons Jerry and Lonnie Honeycutt, son in law Douglas Wells, siblings Manual Case, Betty Wrenfrow, June Jones, Pat Kerr, Dee Dickey, grandsons Adam Honeycutt, baby Adam Honeycutt, and granddaughter Rachel Witcher.

She is survived by six children, Larry Honeycutt (Glenda), Sherry Wells, John Honeycutt (Shirley), Donna Honeycutt, Ron Honeycutt (Sandy), and Delores Chance (Larry), and grandchildren Steve Honeycutt, Joe Honeycutt (Brenda), Michael Honeycutt (Jill); Kurtis Honeycutt, Kelley Prewitt (Clint), Stephanie Smith (Kevin);  Keith Wells, Tina Wells;  JJ Honeycutt, Amy Roark (Chris), Anita Rodgers (James); Rodney Honeycutt (Tabatha), Jodie Carter (Travis);  Anthony Honeycutt (Sarah), Daniel Honeycutt, Jeremy Honeycutt (Andrea), Shane Honeycutt, Jared Honeycutt (Jana), Anna Honeycutt; and Nicole Chance.   Great Grandchildren: Danny Honeycutt (Amey), Hunter, Trace, and Corey Honeycutt;   Whitney Lavy (Ronnie), Hayley Johnson (Chris), Wesley Honeycutt, Amos Honeycutt, Stetson Smith, Amelia Honeycutt, Chastity Williams, Mikaela Witcher, Zachary Smith, Zachary Flippin, Isaiah Smith; Taylor Broyles  (Trevor), Lauren Parsons (Tyler), Bradley Risner (Morgan), Brooklyn Risner, Emmett Cooper; Brayden Honeycutt (Katy), Brennon and Brylan Honeycutt, Jayden Roark, Carleigh and Cade Roark; Jason, Chase, Kenzie, and Kirkland Carter;  Bailey, Byron, Kaitley, and Kameron Honeycutt; Haley, Chloe, and Iris Honeycutt;  Kasey and Jack Honeycutt; Bethany and Beau Honeycutt; Dawson and Adam Honeycutt.   Great Great Grandchildren:  Wyatt and Mason Honeycutt; Jackson Honeycutt; Zoey and Brinley Lavy; Anastasia Honeycutt, Cali Rae Honeycutt, and Xavien Johnson.   Siblings Don Case, Bessie York, Charles Case, Wanda Martin.

Funeral services for Erma Adele Honeycutt, age 93, of Myrtle, Missouri, will be held on Saturday, September 10, 2022, at 12:00 p.m. at the Carter Funeral Home Chapel in Thayer, Missouri with Mike Stone officiating. Visitation will be Saturday, September 10, 2022, from 10:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. at the Carter Funeral Home chapel.

Interment will be on Saturday, September 10, 2022, in Jeff Cemetery, Thayer, Missouri with services under the direction of Carter Funeral Home, Inc. in Thayer, Missouri.
