Erin Danielle Moore, West Plains, Missouri, passed away December 9, 2024.
She was born February 28, 1968 in Los Angeles, California.
Erin is survived by her parents Ronald L. Moore and Nancy K. Roloson; her three siblings, Calley, Julie, and Kyle, and many nieces and nephews. She loved spending time with her family, but the bond she had with her mother was special, Erin was an Angel!
Erin was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and loved attending church with her family as a child. She lived in West Plains, Missouri for the past thirty years at Newton’s Group Home who has been her second family that has loved and cared for her dearly until her passing.
Erin was full of life and loved being around people. She was always making new friends and made everyone feel loved, her hugs were the best! She loved to color, put puzzles together, and sing and dance to her favorite music. She always made sure everyone knew her favorite color was pink. Erin was a special blessing to all who knew her and she will forever be remembered by her siblings as the best Sister in the whole world!
Graveside services will held on Saturday, December 14, 2024 at 2:00 p.m. at the Oak Lawn Cemetery, West Plains, Missouri, under the direction of Carter Funeral Home, Inc., West Plains, Missouri.

II Corinthians 5: 7-8 (For we walk by faith, not by sight:) We are confident, I say, and willing rather to be absent from the body, and to be present with the Lord.

She was loved and she loved big! We are so thankful that her mom chose us to
Provide assistance to her all these years. She had a full and productive life. She had a deep empathy of others. She has spoke at friends funerals from the heart. She was an amazing lady. She had a pure spirit. She will be remembered with live and admiration.

Erin will be dearly missed. She was my buddy, she would go to church with me, and everyone they are just loved her and hugged her. And she let them know right off. She was Cinderella. She loved my little brother Kelly, and she would say I love Kylie so much, we never told her that his name wasn’t Kylie, but to her. After church, we go to my parents, which she called gram and pop. I found her a little rocker and had a friend of mine to cover it in princess material for her. She was so excited. I was blessed enough to have gone to see her a couple times and the last few weeks. She will be loved and miss dearly.

My sister Jo Leta Duffell attended the Let’s Go program for several years, many years ago, and she and Erin were friends. They were so different; Erin so quiet and gentle, and my sister so loud and physical, partly because she is deaf. Both their faces would light up when they would see each other! Erin would hug Jo and tell me that Jo was her best friend. Those were some of the sweetest words I ever heard!
Jo leta Is 75 now, and lives in one of Allen Supported Living homes near Brandsville. She is healthy, thankfully, and just had a successful hip replacement. She has wonderful staff, and is happy, which is such a blessing. She has outlived all her friends with Downs syndrome ; Terry Wilson, Bobbie Wells, Bobby Cockrum , Curtis Barber, and now your Erin. She loved them all dearly. I think they are put on Earth to show us there’s a better way to be a human ; I just wish we would follow their examples more closely. I know you will miss her more than words can say. I’m glad she stayed as long as she did.

Thanks everyone for your kind words. I’m so glad that Erin touched so many people. Words cannot express our family’s gratitude to all of her friends who loved and cared for her. It was so touching to see so many of you there at her services. Thank you for your love and kindness! Erin is a gift and blessing to our family, and I am so happy to have her as my eternal sister.
