Edward Philip Davis, was born March 8, 1942 at Alton, Missouri, the son of the late Frank and Frona Davis.
He was married to Linda Johnson at Fenton, Missouri in 1963.
He is survived by his wife, Linda, West Plains, Missouri; two sons, Billy (Jenny) Davis, Mt. Vernon, Missouri and Paul (Rhonda) Davis, West Plains, Missouri; twelve grandchildren; eight great grandchildren; one brother, and many nieces and nephews.
Phil was a family man whose greatest joy was having all his family home for dinner and a visit. Phil accepted Jesus Christ as his Saviour when he was a young man and relied on God each day to sustain and help him. A strong quiet man but a man of highest moral ethics and integrity. His word was his bond.
Phil was a very talented carpenter. He built numerous homes and other structures in the Howell and Oregon County area. He also built cabinets and other pieces of furniture in his home shop. Phil was content and happy working with wood in his shop. Phil was also a very skilled certified journeyman welder specializing in commercial and military truck bodies.
Phil was preceded in death by his parents; his in-laws; five sisters and three brothers.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital, Samaritian’s Purse, or Bethel Baptist Church.
Graveside services will be held Thursday, November 7, 2024 at 10:00 a.m. at Huddleston Cemetery, Oregon County, Missouri, under the direction of Carter Funeral Home, Iinc., West Plains, Missouri.
