Earl Wayne Michaels was born the son of Earl E. Michaels and Tressie (Dowdy) Michaels on July 12, 1954, in Mammoth Spring, Arkansas, and died on July 30, 2015 near Couch, Missouri, at the age of sixty-one years.
He was united in marriage in 1976, at Mammoth Spring, Arkansas, to Marica Green.
He is survived by his wife, Marica Michaels of Mammoth Spring, Arkansas; two sons, Earl Wayne Michaels, Jr. and wife, Leah of Lake City, Arkansas, and Nathan Wayne Michaels of Mammoth Spring, Arkansas; five grandchildren, Curtis, Caleb and Landan Michaels of Cave City, Arkansas, and Kelsey and Trey “Bubby” Michaels of Lake City, Arkansas; his mother, Tressie Michaels of Thayer, Missouri; one sister, Karen “Susie” Earls and husband, Nicky of Mammoth Spring, Arkansas; one niece, Nicole Frealy of Mammoth Spring; one nephew, Joseph Earls and wife, Kayla of Brookland, Arkansas; three great nieces, Rebecca, Lillian and McKinley; one great nephew, Xander; special friends, Debbie and Dennis Rose; other relatives and many friends.
He was preceded in death by his father, Earl Michaels.
Wayne was an avid outdoorsman and enjoyed farming, hunting and fishing. He was employed as a log cutter by Leon Vaughn Logging Company of Mammoth Spring, Arkansas.
He will truly be missed by his family and many friends.
Funeral services for Mr. Michaels will be held Monday, August 3, 2015 at 2:00 PM in the Carter Funeral Home Chapel in Thayer with Barry O’Dell officiating.
The family will receive friends on Sunday evening, August 2nd, from 6:00 until 8:00 PM at the Carter Funeral Home Chapel in Thayer.
Burial will be private.
