Louise Chamernik was my aunt. Her father, Alex Gust, was a widower who married my grandmother, Madesse, who was a divorcee. Louise and her siblings, Virginia and Gerald, all lived nearby when I was growing up in Northern Illinois and before she married Don and moved away we saw her often. She was only a few years older than me and when I was a little boy she would babysit for me. It was she who introduced me to 52 Pickup when I would beat her at Crazy Eights or War. She also knew of my love of music and gave me her old 45 RPM records back in the 60’s, which I still have.

My thoughts and prayers go out to Jodi, Aaron, Adam, and the rest of the family.

Jodie, Aaron & Adam, I am so sorry for your loss. I knew your Mom & Dad when they lived in Alton. Aaron, you and my Don are the same age. Adam I saw you when you were a baby. Your Mom was there for me when my husband died. We worked together at church and a Vacation Bible School. She was a caring person. She & your Dad will be missed. I hope to make the memorial service but I can’t be sure. They are in my prayers and so will all of you.

Aaron & Adam,I am so so sorry for the sudden loss of your parents. Your dad (DC) worked for many many years for my dad Jack Reed (Reed Roofing ) Don worked for dad longer than any other employee. Your mom n dad were house hold names as my sister, brother n I were growing up. So hard to believe in a whisper theyre both gone, shows us how very precious life can be,& how quickly faded. My mom n dad died 20 days apart at age 61 so I can relate to how you feel,& the suddeness of it. I ran into your dad & mom several times after dad & mom had passed & we had discussed at one bump into each other how sudden mom n dads deaths were& talked memories. Again, so sorry to hear of what happened, they will be missed & praying for your peace n comfort.

Louise was my friend since 4th grade in Waukegan, Il. We were friends all thru grade & high school. We stayed close thru the years even after they moved to Missouri. She had a kind heart for the less fortunate and a supportive, caring way. I remember when Kip, Jody, Adam and Aaron were born. They were loving parents. I am so sorry for your loss. I will miss her .
Love always , Margo Graham and Family
