Delbert Marvin Hice passed away August 30, 2022, in Mountain Home, Arkansas. He was born on May 26, 1961, in Phoenix, Arizona, to Granvel and Nedra (Jewell) Hice. Delbert was of the Christian faith. Delbert married the love of his life Antonia “Toni” on November 14, 1981. They were married for 40 years and brought into the world two children G.L and Samantha.
Delbert was a very loving, kind, outgoing person. He never knew a stranger in his lifetime. He loved to make people laugh, joke around with them and just loved being around people. He loved being outside and tinkering around with things and making things out of wood and metal. Delbert worked many years at Meeks Lumber Yard in West Plains, Missouri. He dearly loved all of his family, friends and will be deeply missed by everyone.
Delbert leaves behind his wife, Toni; one son; G.L. Hice; one daughter Samantha Burd, husband Michael; five grandkids; Hailey Johnson, Brooke and Logan Hice, Nadia and Diana Burd; two brothers; Bob Hice, wife Denise, Herb Hice, wife Helen and one sister Etta Willbanks, husband Bud; along with numerous friends and family.
Delbert is proceeded in death by his parents, four brothers Rubien, Ralph, Melvin, and William; two sisters Grace Hice and Marie Harrison; and two infant siblings.
Funeral services for Delbert Marvin Hice, age 61, of Koshkonong, Missouri, will be held on Wednesday, September 7, 2022, at 9:00 a.m. at the Carter Funeral Home Chapel in Thayer, Missouri with Johnny Holesapple officiating. Visitation will be Tuesday, September 6, 2022, from 6-8 p.m. at the Carter Funeral Home Chapel in Thayer, Missouri.
Interment will be on Wednesday, September 7, 2022, at Shiloh Cemetery, Thayer, Missouri with services under the direction of Carter Funeral Home, Inc. in Thayer, Missouri.

Delbert was a fun loving kind person. He had a daredevil spirit as a young man and loved to tease people. He was always helpful to everyone he encountered. Never a stranger did he meet.
He shared his smile with the world.
