  Dearl Ray McKinney, age 66 of Ravenden, Arkansas, passed away September 7, 2024. Dearl was born April 13, 1958, in Rockford, Illinois to Jesse and Julia (Case) McKinney.

  Dearl was an outdoors man. He loved to hunt, garden and was a collector of “things”. He loved showing off his latest treasures. He would often gift a treasure because he thought you might like it. Dearl didn’t have any of his own children but loved all his nieces, nephews and their families like his own.

  Dearl liked to pittle, fabricate and like his dad, he was an inventor. He was always the life of the party. His beautiful smile and laugh will be greatly missed.

   He is survived by his mother Julia McKinney of Ravenden, Arkansas; two brothers Gary McKinney of Herculaneum, Missouri and Lukas (Donna) McKinney of Pevely, Missouri; two sisters Shonnie French of Mountain Home, Arkansas and Renea (Len) Frey of Jonesboro, Arkansas; many nieces, nephews and other family.

   He is preceded in death by his dad, Jesse (Jim) McKinney; one brother Jesse McKinney; and one niece Sonia Bounds.

 

 Graveside service for Dearl McKinney, age 66, of Ravenden, Arkansas, will be held on Saturday, September 14, 2024, at 10:00 a.m. at the Taylor Cemetery in Ravenden, Arkansas.

  Interment will be on Saturday, September 14, 2024, in Taylor Cemetery, Ravenden, Arkansas with services under the direction of Carter Funeral Home, Inc. in Thayer, Missouri.

    I am so sorry to hear of the passing of Dearl. He was such an amazing, very easy going guy. Dearl always had a smile on his face when he was around. Such great memories that will always be cherished. Prayers to your family during this difficult time.
