Connie Louise Cunningham, daughter of the late Margaret and Hubert Cypret, was born March 25, 1952, in Independence, Missouri and died June 18, 2021, in Mountain Home, Arkansas at the age of 69.

She was united in marriage on June 2, 1969, in Thayer, Missouri to Wesley Smoot who preceded her in death on January 18, 1978.

Connie is survived by three children Devon Smoot and wife, Janet of Mammoth Spring, Arkansas, Josie Johnson and husband, Bobby of Thayer, Missouri, and Cassie Todd and husband, Mathew of Mountain Grove, Missouri; eight grandchildren, Sierra Small and Shy Smoot of Mammoth Spring, Arkansas, Hallie, Callie, Jake, and Colton Johnson of Thayer, Missouri, Gabriel and Lindsleigh Todd, of Mountain Grove, Missouri; one great grandchild, Wesleigh Kate Small of Mammoth Spring, Arkansas; three sisters, Donna Walker, Nancy Evans, Brenda O’Dell; a host of nieces and nephews; other relatives; and many friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents Hubert and Margaret Cypret; her husband Wesley Smoot, one brother Lehman Cypret; one sister Bonnie Spurrell; three brothers-in-law Bill Spurrell, Jimmy Walker, Kurt Evans; one niece Michelle Spurrell; and one dear friend Margaret Michaels.

Connie was a homemaker, a farmer, and a sales clerk. She loved spending time with her children and grandchildren. She enjoyed spending time outside on the farm and with her many cats. Her hobbies included reading books and watching true crime television shows, as well as, wrestling.

Graveside services for Connie L. Cunningham will be held on Wednesday, June 23, 2021 at 10:00 a.m. at Riverside Cemetery in Mammoth Spring, Arkansas with Brother Charles Morgan officiating.

Burial will be on Wednesday, June 23, 2021 in Riverside Cemetery in Mamoth Spring, Arkansas with services under the direction of Carter Funeral Home, Inc. in Thayer, Missouri.

    Connie was a special lady..she was always appreciative, caring and thoughtful..we will always remember what a lovely young girl she was and a favourite cousin…We pray God will be with be with her family at this sad time.

    I remember Connie from when she went to Couch School, a long time ago. I was a grade ahead of her. Very sweet person.
