Clarence Wesley James was born February 17, 1919, the fourth of 9 children of Frank and Flora James of Randolph County, Arkansas.  Clarence has lived and farmed near Thayer, MO most of his life.

 He was employed for many years for Southwestern Power Administration and retired from there.  

Clarence was a WWll veteran, and a member of the Church of Christ.

He married Johannah Schulz on April 11, 1942 and together they had 9 children, 32 grandchildren, over 63 great grandchildren, and over 32 great-great grandchildren.

He passed from this life on January 25, 2022 leaving a strong family legacy.

Clarence is survived by his children Frank James & wife Linda of Garfield, AR.  Randall James & wife Norma of Garfield, AR, son in law Fred Welcome of Ozark, MO. Paul James & wife Belinda of Pea Ridge, AR., Jennifer Marler and husband Jimmy of Mammoth Spring, AR, Jacalyn Lowther of Thayer, MO., Jamie James of Copper Creek AK. and numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren and great great-grandchildren.  He is also survived by a very special friend, Delsia Crawford of  Gatewood, MO.

He was preceded in death by his wife Johannah James, daughters Rebecca James, Joann James, & Suzanne Welcome, a son-in-law Clay Lowther, grandsons Randy James, Jeffery James, & Mark Stiefvater, and great grandson Andrew Neal James.

He will truly be missed by his family and many friends.

Funeral services for Clarence James will be held on Saturday, January 29, 2022, at 3:00 p.m. at the Carter Funeral Home Chapel in Thayer, Missouri with Erman Croney officiating.

The family will receive friends on Saturday, January 29, 2022, from 2:00 p.m. to service time at Carter Funeral Home in Thayer, Missouri.

Burial will be on Saturday, January 29, 2022, in Taylor Cemetery in Ravenden, Arkansas with services under the direction of Carter Funeral Home, Inc. in Thayer, Missouri.
