Charles Pease II

Charles Talmage Pease II was born the son of Charles T. Pease and Mary Lee (Hart) Pease on January 15, 1958, in Fort Rucker, Alabama, and departed March 22, 2017, in West Plains, Missouri, at the age of 59 years.

As a member of a military family, Charlie found a love for travel, the outdoors, and the arts. After becoming an adult, Charlie canoed the length of the Mississippi River with his best friend, Cory. In his early twenties, he also bicycled around Europe. A true Renaissance Man, Charlie had a passion and love for many things in life. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, golf, working on the family’s ranch, and most of all, painting. His talent for everything he did amazed many people. He loved teaching in the Artic Circle and thoroughly enjoyed spending time coaching his boys and girls on the wrestling team. His love of life and knowledge will continue to live on through the lives he changed and touched.

Along with a tremendous amount of love, Charlie leaves behind his father and mother, Charles “Chuck” and Mary Lee Pease of Koshkonong, Missouri; his sister, Pamela Pease-Spreutels and her husband, Kenneth and his niece, Kendra of Rogers, Arkansas; as well as his fiancé, Laura Knisley of Koshkonong, Missouri and her daughters, Tina and Katie.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Laurie Koltes-Pease.

His contagious personality and warm demeanor will be missed by many more family members, friends, and the communities in which he lived.

Memorial services will be held, Friday, March 31, 2017, at 2:00 PM at the Carter Funeral Home Chapel in Thayer with Bud Adams and Jeanette Bragg officiating.

Arrangements are under the direction of Carter Funeral Home, Inc. in Thayer.
