Dustin Dwight Bresee was born in West Plains, Missouri, the son of James B. Bresee and Gina Smith Bresee on March 28, 1991, and departed this life on November 16, 2018 in Caulfield, Missouri at the age of 27 years.
He is survived by his three children, Katelinn, Jaden and Noah Bresee, all of the home in Caulfield, Missouri; his parents, James and Gina Bresee of West Plains, Missouri; two brothers, Thomas Bresee and fiancée, Katelyn, and Andrew Bresee, all of West Plains, Missouri; two sisters, Heather Bryant and husband, Nathen, and Elizabeth Bresee and fiancée, Simeon, all of West Plains, Missouri; grandparents, Thomas and Linda Smith of Neodesha, Kansas; great grandmothers, Lorriane McRoberts of Neodesha, Kansas and Juanita Smith of Fort Scott, Kansas; many nieces and nephews; aunts and uncles; cousins; other relatives and countless friends.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Gene and Esther Bresee.
Dustin was a Christian and of the Baptist faith.
He was a carpenter. He enjoyed drawing and playing with his kids. Dustin was an avid outdoorsman and always looked forward to deer season and he also enjoyed fishing.
He loved and cherished time spent with his family and will be remembered as a devoted father, son and brother. Dustin will truly be missed by all that knew him.
A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, November 24, 2018 at 11:00 AM at the Berean Baptist Church in West Plains, Missouri with Brother Donnie Finley officiating.

Wanda Jean (Davis) McKinney was born on February 27, 1946 in Camp, Arkansas, the daughter of Elmo Lee Davis and Dorothy Jane Carolina (Hardin) Davis, and departed this life on November 14, 2018 in Springfield, Missouri at the age of 72 years.
At the age of sixteen, she met the love of her life, Iva Paul McKinney. They were united in marriage on July 7, 1962 and spent fifty wonderful years of marriage before his death in 2012. To this union three sons were born, Joseph Daniel, Timothy Matthew and Stephen Mark.
She is survived by sons, Joseph Daniel McKinney and wife, Jodie Lynn, Timothy Matthew McKinney and Stephen Mark McKinney and wife, Rogia Annette, all of West Plains, Missouri. She is survived by her siblings, Paul Don Davis and wife, Wanda, Patsy Collins and husband, Tommy, and Fred Davis and wife, Teena, all of Mammoth Spring, Arkansas. She is also survived by five grandchildren, Daniel McKinney and wife, Crystal, Korrie Vance and husband, Jermyn, Bethany Sullivan and husband, Mike, Mariah McKinney and Travis McKinney; four great grandchildren, Zade Cypret, Oliver McKinney, Sierra Sullivan and Sloan McKinney; a close friend, Larry Mullison of Saratoga, Wyoming; many nieces; nephews; cousins, and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Elmo and Dorothy Davis; her husband, Paul McKinney; one great grandson, Axel Bo; two infant sisters, Wilma and Alma Jewel Davis; and one brother, Donald Lee Davis.
Wanda was excellent cook and enjoyed getting together with her family and friends for a good home cooked meal. She enjoyed jig saw puzzles, writing and playing games. She was a great listener and was known for giving out many words of wisdom.
She gave her heart to the Lord Jesus Christ early in life. She built her life on the Rock, knowing that was how her eternal soul would survive. She loved the Word of God, reading and studying faithfully. For many years, she taught young people at church, hoping to instill in them the love for Christ. Even as her health failed, she still attended and enjoyed church services.
She will be remembered as a loving and caring mother, raising her family in the Way of Jesus Christ. As much as she loved her family, her heart and mind was set on “making it to her eternal home” with a great desire that all family and friends would follow. She will truly be missed by all that knew her.

Maxine Dodson Harpole of Orange, Calif. passed away July 19, 2018. She was born January 3, 1922, in Thayer, Mo. to Lewis and Ila Dodson. Maxine is now praising the Lord with her husband, Chester and sons, Jim and Stanley along with siblings, John, Clarence, Jerry, Flo, Peggy, Clara and Mayme.
Maxine is survived by her daughters, Joan (Bob) and Kathy (Bernie) both from Orange County, Calif., and Lyn (Mike) residing in Martinsville, Va. She was blessed with eight grandchildren, Faith, Kathryn, James, David, Manny, Ilah, Fred, Adam; and many great-grandchildren
She married Chester in 1939, they were blessed to have shared a loving relationship for 73 years.
Maxine has been a member of a Baptist Church since 1946, currently, Villa Heights Baptist Church in Martinsville, Va. She taught Sunday school for 55 years.
She loved working with her beautiful flowers. She was such a blessing to others as she exemplified what it was to be an amazing Christian Woman.
She will truly be missed by all that knew and loved her.

James Lynn Murrell, 68, of Willow Springs, Missouri, passed from this earth on October 12, 2018 at Mercy Hospice in Springfield, Missouri.
He was born to Jim Martin Murrell and Sarah Estelle Cearley Murrell on April 2, 1950.
James and Jeanne Feller Haubert Murrell were married April 21, 1984 at Oak Grove Baptist Church. James was a member of Oak Grove Baptist Church and was baptized at an early age. He was a member of Ingomar Masonic Lodge #536, and was on the MFA Advisory Board. He was also a “member” of Conley’s “good ole boy” club in Pomona and enjoyed his time with the guys there.
James was a loving son, brother, uncle, cousin, husband, stepfather, a good neighbor and friend to all. He was a wise, kind and gentle soul.
James had a passion for nature and the land. He worked the family farm where he was raised, and loved his Angus herd, “his girls.” He always planted for wildlife, loved growing vegetables and flowers, enjoyed canning and giving away his goods.
James worked for the Forest Service on the Mark Twain National Forest for 42 years, retiring December 31, 2011. He was a firefighter, fighting fires locally and west in California, Idaho, Wyoming and north in Minnesota. He was an expert timber faller, range technician, wilderness ranger, recreation technician, and a certified Para-Professional Archeologist for the Mark Twain. He knew the Mark Twain like no one else, and was called on many search and rescues by local law enforcement. At the end of his career he and many loyal volunteers took care of miles of trails on the Ridgerunner, Devil’s Backbone and other areas.
Together James and Jeanne took a number of trips to the California central coast. James was always on the trails, or exploring the beaches. Many trips took them to Wyoming, Yellowstone, the Badlands of South Dakota, Arizona including the Grand Canyon, and trails in Flagstaff and Sedona. The two spent their honeymoon in the Smokey Mountain National Park, exploring the battlefields of the south. They also went to western Michigan many times and to the Allegheny Mountains in Pennsylvania. While traveling, James gained notoriety by looking like Phil on “Duck Dynasty.”
James is survived by his wife, Jeanne; stepdaughter Chris Noel Haubert and husband Randy, Marina, California; sisters, Pat McKee and husband, Dale, Willow Springs, Missouri, Linda Wade, Springfield, Missouri; brothers-in-law and wives, John and Bev Feller; Mike and Dianna Feller, West Plains, Missouri; Paul and Patty Feller, Cabot, Arkansas; Gary and Mary Bennett, Tempe, Arizona; sisters-in-law and husbands, Mary and Randy Berner, Nicole Layden, Mountain View, Missouri; Patty and Jack Ford, Springfield, Missouri; many nephews, nieces, family and friends. Special friend and “brother” John Armstrong and wife Jeannie, Fayetteville, Arkansas, and Maria, Mike and Evan Funk, Independence, Missouri.
James was preceded in death by his parents, James Martin and Sarah Estelle Murrell; an infant brother; sisters, Lois Crider, Marinda Lea Katsorelos, Norma Vance and Ruth Wright.
James’ spirit will live on forever in those whose lives he touched.

Edward Dale Anstine, 67, passed into eternal rest on Saturday, September 29, 2018 in Moko, Arkansas.
Ed was born on June 1, 1951 in West Plains, Missouri to the late Gerald (Pete) Anstine and Rosalie (Crick) Anstine.
He is survived by his wife, Kathy of Moko, Arkansas; two sisters, Linda Rose Johnson, West Plains, Missouri, and Patty Webb and husband Rick, West Plains, Missouri; two daughters, Megan Landstine and husband, Ian, of Kingston, Washington and Hannah Hood and husband Austin, of Fort Sumter, South Carolina; one son, Aaron Anstine of Cherokee Village, Arkansas; one stepson, Chad Towns and wife Natalie, of Searcy, Arkansas; four grandchildren, Jasmin and Jade Anstine of Salem, Arkansas; Elaina Hood of Fort Sumter, South Carolina, and Colin Atlas Landstine of Kingston, Washington; one brother-in-law, Jim Gaffney of Mountain Home, Arkansas; one nephew, Jeremiah Johnson and wife, Sierena, West Plains, Missouri; two nieces, Tanya Webb, West Plains, Missouri and Tawny Roberts of West Plains, Missouri; two great nieces, Hope Roberts and Faith Roberts, both of West Plains, Missouri, and one great nephew, Chance Roberts, West Plains, Missouri; two uncles, Bob Anstine and wife Sue, West Plains, Missouri and Don Anstine and wife, Francis, Springfield, Missouri.

Ed graduated from West Plains High School in 1969. Ed is an Army Veteran, having served in Vietnam. He worked for many years as an accomplished carpenter.
Ed was an avid deer and turkey hunter. His love of nature and family spilled over into everything he touched. He lovingly built the family home for his wife Kathy. He never met a stranger and had a way of making everybody laugh. His family and friends were of utmost importance to him.
Ed was baptized at the First Assembly of God Church in West Plains, Missouri. He was a good honest, christian man.
Visitation will be held from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. on Wednesday, October 3, 2018 at Carter Funeral Home Chapel, 1316 Porter Wagoner Boulevard in West Plains, Missouri.
Graveside services for Ed Anstine will be held Thursday, October 4, 2018 at 2:00 p.m. at Homeland Cemetery, Howell County, Missouri, under the direction of Carter Funeral Home, Inc., West Plains. Military rites will be conducted by the West Plains Honor Guard and the Missouri Veterans Program.

Leatha Pyatt, daughter of the late Homer C. Stokes and Bulah Lee Ramsey Stokes, was born May 17, 1936 in Charter Oak, Missouri and went to be with her Lord and Savior, August 14, 2018 at the age of 82 years.
She was united in marriage June 20, 1953 in Arondall, Missouri to Lonnie Lee Pyatt.
She is survived by her husband, Lonnie Lee Pyatt, of the home, West Plains, Missouri; three children, Michael Pyatt and wife Bonnie, Pomona, Missouri, Rick Pyatt and wife Debbie, Colorado Springs, Colorado, and Cathy Rulo and husband Robert, West Plains, Missouri; one sister, Bonnie Stotler and husband, Jerry, Viburnum, Missouri; nine grandchildren and several great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; three brothers, Cecil Stokes, Bill Stokes, and David Stokes, and two sisters, Coleen Webber and Alberta Webber.
She was a member of the Pomona Assembly of God Church, Pomona, Missouri. Leatha and her husband had been in the ministry for fifty years. She loved to teach God’s word.

Bill Bowling, son of the late Gene Bowling and Buna Floyd Bowling, was born September 23, 1929 in Salem, Arkansas and died July 19, 2018 in Kansas City, Missouri at the age of 88 years.
He was a veteran who proudly served in the United States Navy aboard the USS Yancy.
He was united in marriage June 4, 1957 in Salem, Arkansas to Christine Cawvey, who preceded him in death July 11, 1991.
He and Chris moved to Kansas City where he enjoyed working as an accomplished carpenter for thirty-five years. After retiring to West Plains he spent many years happily golfing.
He is survived by four children, Tina Bowling, Kelly Nelson and husband Ron, Terry Bowling and wife Rene, and Tracy Bowling and wife Michele; one sister, Mary Sue Smith, and many nieces, nephews, and cousins. He was known as “Pops” to six grandchildren, Adam, Carl, Curtis, Jesse, Ericka, and Olivia.
He was preceded in death by his wife; his parents, and one brother, Don Bowling.
Graveside services for Bill Bowling will be held Tuesday, July 24, 2018 at 10:00 a.m. at State Line Cemetery, Fulton County, Arkansas, under the direction of Carter Funeral Home, Inc., West Plains.
